Phoenix On Demand Media | Application Preview
Phoenix On Demand Media is seeking $10,000 in government grant funding to upgrade its studio equipment and acquire new cameras and microphones. Part of the funding will also support premium subscription services like Getty Images to enhance their online presence and boost SEO.
The applicant has nearly 30 years of experience in radio, during which they generated millions of page views and established themselves as a credible social influencer. They aim to create self-sustaining websites and podcasts that produce consistent revenue through evergreen content, leveraging their creative skills and marketing experience.
The funding is justified by the applicant's proven success in the media industry and their strong passion for creating monetizable content. Phoenix On Demand Media comprises two divisions: one focusing on national entertainment and lifestyle content, and the other on local content. In West Texas, the business faces no local competition, as it uniquely provides 100% local content, a growing trend that was recognized by Disney in their investor meetings.
Nationally, the company's niche lies in storytelling, paralleling efforts of entities like Rolling Stone but differentiating itself through a non-political angle. The applicant's deep knowledge of the Texas region and nearly three decades of local content creation have equipped them with valuable insights into community interests, enhancing their competitive edge.

Business Plan
I previously held a job in radio for nearly 30 years. During that time, I have created content that has generated millions of page views. I have also established myself as a credible social influencer. By combining my creative talent with my marketing acumen, I'll be able to build self-sustaining websites and podcasts that generate consistent revenue with evergreen content. I have a track record of success in the media industry along with an unrivaled passion for creating compelling content that can be monetized.

Self Identified Competition
I currently have 2 divisions of my company; one focuses on national entertainment/lifestyle and the other on local entertainment/lifestyle. Locally, in West Texas, I have no competition as no one super serves the local demographic/audience by creating 100% local content. Creating local content is so important, even Disney announced their shift to local content in their September investors meeting. As far as my national content, my niche is focusing on storytellers and storytelling and there really isn't a company that does the same with the exception of Rolling Stone. Phoenix On Demand is different in the sense that our content is not political in any way. I know Abilene, Texas. I know West Texas. I know Texas. I've been creating local content for almost 30 years. My failures and successes have been huge educational moments in which I've really honed in on the pulse of our communities and the content that engages them the most.
