1st Response Training LLC | Application Preview
1st Response Training LLC is seeking government grants to fund the purchase of essential supplies, clothing, and advertising materials to effectively promote its business and conduct AHA certified training. The business aims to grow primarily through social media, word-of-mouth referrals, and potential contracts with various facilities to train their employees.
The main goal of the training program is to certify local motorcycle riders in first aid and CPR. This initiative is particularly important given that many motorcycle charity rides and group rides take place away from heavily traveled roads, where emergency medical response times can be significantly delayed—averaging 15-30 minutes for EMS and potentially an additional 10-40 minutes for Life Flight. Training motorcycle riders in these critical skills could significantly reduce the mortality rate in motorcycle accidents. A secondary objective is to provide affordable training for local healthcare workers who lack facility-provided training opportunities.
In terms of competition, 1st Response Training LLC faces established entities like the Red Cross, local fire departments, and hospitals. However, the business can differentiate itself by meeting the specific requirements for AHA certified instruction, which many local hospitals and competing organizations do not. The owner is a certified AHA instructor and affiliated with a local AHA training facility, further enhancing the business's credibility and appeal.

Business Plan
Growth of this type of business will be mainly through social media sites, word of mouth advertising, and possibly future contracts with facilities to provide training to their employees. My primary focus for my training business is to train and certify local motorcycle riders in first aid and CPR. Many charity rides and group rides are off the heavily traveled roads. Average response time for a dedicated EMS unit is 15-30 minutes. Depending on the area and availability - Life Flight resources could take an additional 10-40 minutes. Training this particular group of individuals would greatly affect the mortality rate of motorcycle accident victims. Secondary focus would be to local healthcare workers that do not have facility provided training in these areas; or are too costly for the employee.

Self Identified Competition
Red Cross, local Fire Departments, local Hospitals. Most Hospitals (local, State, and Federal) are requiring American Heart Association (AHA) certified instruction. Red Cross, local Fire Departments, and local Hospitals do not meet this requirement. I am a certified AHA instructor aligned with a local AHA training facility.
