A Touch of Platinum Cleaning LLC | Application Preview

A Touch of Platinum Cleaning LLC is seeking government grants to expand its cleaning business. The funding will be used to hire at least eight cleaning associates to fulfill a contract with First Key Homes for cleaning rental properties. The owner needs to establish payroll, obtain worker’s compensation, provide transportation for six associates, and supply cleaning materials and branded clothing for the team.

The business primarily operates through Instagram and local business networking in the Stone Mountain area. The owner, a Black woman from Georgia, has faced significant personal challenges but is determined to succeed. With ongoing education towards an MBA and a full-time job at Anthem Inc., she aspires to transition fully into entrepreneurship. Her goal is to employ up to 50 associates and support individuals, particularly battered women, seeking better lives.

Competitive advantages include lower pricing and personalized service, as the owner is directly involved in client communication. The commitment to hire Black women as cleaning associates further sets her business apart. Through her personal journey and dedication to cleanliness, she asks for support in her efforts to contribute positively to her community during challenging times.

  • Funding Usage

I need to hire at least eight more cleaners. I am in the process of obtaining a contract with First Key Homes to clean rental properties for them. I am insured and bonded. I just need cleaning associates that can clean the homes during the week as well as on the weekends. I also need to set up payroll. And when i get cleaning associates i will need to obtain worker’s compensation. I also need to have a vehicle for transportation back and forth for at least six of the associates. I need to supply each cleaner with their own cleaning supplies as well as the t shirts with company logo

  • Business Plan

Most of my business comes from Instagram. I pass out my business cards to all local businesses in the surrounding Stone Mountain area. I follow all the businesses I pass my cards out to and use them periodically. I am a Black woman. Born in raised in Georgia. Yes, I’ve had hardships just like everyone else although mine may be more horrific and tragic. I was able to rise above it all. I have 2.5 degrees. The half is me working to complete my MBA currently. I also work full time at Anthem inc in the Finance department Monday through Friday. But that is not the life i want to live. I want to be my own boss. My cleaning business is not just a side job. I want to have at least 50 associates helping them get their lives together. I want my business to be able to help battered women like i how i used to be to get out of their situation and live a happy life. I enjoy cleaning and it has helped me get through so many tragic and tough times. No medications and no amount of therapy could’ve helped me get through the murder of my daughter Emani Moss. Invest in me because i have overcome tragedies and misunderstandings. Invest in me because i am from Atlanta and i am 40 years old. No traffic tickets ever in my life and no criminal record. Invest in me because you believe in my struggle and the great things that are coming my way. Invest in me because it is a virus out here killing people and i started a cleaning business to help keep the state of Georgia clean.

  • Self Identified Competition

Molly maids My prices are lower. I am the one that comes out to see the clients personally. I actually answer the phone when someone calls or texts with an appointment. All my cleaning associates will be black women just like me.
