Main Street Cafe 3-20440-0596-8 | Government Grant Application

Main Street Cafe | Application Preview

Main Street Cafe is applying for a government grant to address serious financial challenges. The funding would help them catch up on bills, secure working capital, and cope with escalating food prices from suppliers. They also need to purchase new equipment mandated by health inspections but cannot afford it.

The business, which faced difficulties due to the Covid pandemic and the owner's family loss, has dreams of expanding with a new location or food truck. Currently, the couple feels overwhelmed and burnt out, working tirelessly without much help now that they have lost family support.

With a strong work ethic and deep passion for their restaurant, they strive to create a family-like atmosphere for customers, many of whom they've developed close relationships with. They highlight their commitment to the community through various fundraisers and support initiatives. Despite competing with nearby restaurants, they believe their homemade food and personal connections give them a unique edge in the local market.

  • Funding Usage

If we were blessed with the grant, we would be able to get caught up on all of our bills and have working capitol so that we could cut out our purveyors that are raising the prices of everything. We are having to pay double, if not triple, the price of food. We are needing to purchase new equipment, per the health inspector, that we can't afford. Thank you so much for considering us for this grant.

  • Business Plan

Prior to Covid and the death of my mother, we had talked about opening another brick and mortar or even a food truck. Now without staff, because no one wants to work, that doesn't seem possible at the moment but this grant could help cultivate those dreams again. My husband and I are so burned out and feel like we are just spinning our wheels. My husband and I are two of the hardest workers. We have passion, sometimes too much, for this restaurant. We have 3 children that we are raising with work ethic. We don't know what quit means. We are closed on Sundays for God, family and rest but besides that we are at the restaurant from open to close everyday with our 3 children in tote. We have no help from anyone now that my mother has passed away.
