Lash Resort | Application Preview
Lash Resort is seeking government funding to enhance its business through the purchase of new products and branding efforts, including the development of eye-catching logos and store aesthetics. The grant will also be used to acquire an additional vending machine, which will be wrapped for brand consistency, and to support research and development to stay abreast of fashion trends.
The business plan focuses on expanding the presence of vending machines in malls and airports while building partnerships with established cosmetic brands like Sephora and Maybelline. The goal is to extend operations into other states and leverage connections with celebrities and social influencers to increase brand visibility.
The funding request is justified by highlighting the innovative nature of selling cosmetics through vending machines, which offers convenience and quick access for consumers. The owner demonstrates a strong commitment to the business, having invested personal funds, and expresses determination to succeed despite challenges. As a black-owned business, Lash Resort aims to inspire others from similar backgrounds by showcasing the potential for success through hard work and perseverance. The funding is seen as a means to create a legacy for the owner’s children.
Lash Resort faces competition from major players like Ulta, Sephora, and Walgreens but has a unique selling proposition with its vending machine model, allowing for reduced operational costs and greater accessibility during non-business hours.

Business Plan
Purchase more machines to place in other malls and airports. Eventually building the brand to partner with more established cosmetic companies such as Sephora and maybelline. Expand my business to other states. Network with celebrities and social influencers to help my brand become well known to the community. This is an innovative business that will grow rapidly in the future. Not many people have thought about the concept of cosmetics being sold via vending machine. This allows consumers to quickly purchase our products without the need for checkout lines or having to wait for stores to open with certain times of operations. I’ve invested a large portion of my own funds into the business and I believe it will be very successful! I have the determination and will to never give up and love to network and talk with people leaving an impression that will last a lifetime. This is a black owned business that will help other people who are discouraged to see that strong willed ambitious people from poverty have the ability to work hard and create success for themselves even without the same opportunities as those with wealth. I have two children that keep me motivated and I’m hoping to leave them a legacy and plant the same ambitious seed in them!
