RNS Truck Rentals | Application Preview
RNS Truck Rentals is applying for government grants to support a strategic advertising plan and expand their fleet. They aim to increase visibility through radio, billboard, and website promotions, and purchase additional pickup and moving trucks.
Despite limited public awareness, the business consistently rents out two trucks nearly all the time. They believe that simply highlighting their status as a locally owned, affordable alternative to major rental brands will drive significant growth. The company has initiated discussions with local radio station Supertalk 99.7 for potential advertising and plans to enhance their online presence through SEO to appear in local search results.
RNS Truck Rentals also intends to diversify their offerings by acquiring specialty trucks, including moving vans and cargo trucks with lift gates. They are considering a rental package that combines trucks, four-wheelers, and camping gear for excursions.
The grant application emphasizes a strong current customer satisfaction rating of 100% and the owner’s experience running a successful Amazon business for five years. They highlight a lack of competition in their area, noting that larger companies like Enterprise and Budget offer limited truck options, and Turo has high fees.
RNS Truck Rentals' competitive edge includes:
1. Allowing towing services, unlike most competitors.
2. Providing both bumper pull and gooseneck towing capabilities with hitches included.
3. Offering trucks with unlimited miles, Sirius radio, WiFi, and OnStar at no extra charge.
4. Delivering vehicles within a 50-mile radius, which is not offered by Enterprise.
5. Providing multiple payment options unavailable with other rental companies.
The funding will help position RNS Truck Rentals as a leading choice in their market by enhancing their visibility and expanding services.

Business Plan
Very few people know that we even exist, however, its enough to keep 2 trucks rented almost 100% of the time. Our business would grow exponentially just by simply letting the public know that we are a locally owned, more affordable option than the major brands. I have already spoken with Supertalk 99.7 radio station in Nashville about a branding plan for the radio. Currently, when you search our company on the web, it doesnt even come up. This can be easily solved with some SEO work by an outside company who specializes in this so that when you perform a simple search such as, "trucks for rent near me", our company will come up first. In addition, we have spoken with Roland Advertising about advertising on their digital boards. We are only 30 minutes from the airport and we deliver there about 3 times a month and I dont even know how they are hearing about us other than Facebook Marketplace. Can you imagine the business we could do with just a little advrtising? We want to purchase a variety of trucks and specialty trucks such as moving vans and small cargo trucks with lift gates to expand our offering as well. We have even thought of expanding into providing excursion rentals where customers can rent a truck, 4 wheeler and camping equipment all in one providing a one stop shop for a quick weekend getaway. We believe and can show proof that we have found a market that has a growing need. We currently have a 100% satisfaction rating with our customers. I am an experienced business owner having ran a successful Amazon Merchant business for 5 years.

Self Identified Competition
We really do not have any. Enterprise rental may have one truck on hand in the 1500 size, you cannot rent anything larger from them unless you own a business. Turo has truck owners who rent their trucks, but the fees are astronomical. Budget, Hertz, Avis and others just do not rent trucks in this area. I am going to do this in list form for simplicity. 1. We allow towing, Turo and most others do not. 2. We provide our customers with both bumper pull and gooseneck towing capabilities as well as supply the hitches, our compeitors do not do either. 3. Our trucks come standard with unlimited miles, sirius radio, wifi, and onstar, these are all items most companies charge extra for. 4. We offer delivery within a 50 mile radius, even Enterprise does not do that. 5. We offer many payment options that others do not
