Lupescu Hospitality Management | Application Preview
Lupescu Hospitality Management is applying for government grants to support its operations amid rising food and payroll costs due to inflation. The funding will be directed towards maintaining staff salaries and managing the cost of goods sold.
The company's business plan focuses on enhancing customer convenience by implementing an online ordering system. This system allows patrons to place orders directly with the restaurant via a website or mobile app, streamlining the preparation process and enabling quick pick-up through a drive-thru window.
Lupescu Hospitality Management believes its application stands out among many due to its untapped potential in online sales. Despite facing challenges such as the Covid shutdowns and supply chain issues since opening four years ago, the business has demonstrated resilience and remains optimistic about future growth.
The competition includes large chain pizzerias like Papa John's, Domino's, and Pizza Hut, along with smaller local pizzerias and Italian diners. However, the business claims a competitive edge with a loyal customer base that has been cultivated through consistent service and quality. They aim to further enhance this loyalty while expanding their customer reach through improved service offerings.

Business Plan
We plan on growing our business by focusing on providing a more convenient service to our patrons. An area of interest is the online ordering system that allows customers to order directly with our restaurant without the interaction of a server or phone call. Once the order is placed online (or on a mobile device), the order gets submitted to the kitchen and gets prepared by our cooks. The customer is then able to pick up the order at our drive thru window. Funding administrators and grant writers see many grants come through from many different types of businesses. We believe that ours stands out because of the potential we see with our online base. We haven't been able to really tap into the online customers and we are confident that by allowing the convenience of online ordering the business will propel itself forward. Since our opening 4 years ago, we have been through many trials and tribulations. From the Covid shutdowns to the supply chain constrictions, our business has been able to withstand the pressures of just about everything that came its way. We are excited on what is to come and look forward with working with those that are willing to give us the tools and support we need.

Self Identified Competition
Our top 3 competitors are as follows: Large chain pizzerias i.e. Papa Johns, Dominos, and Pizza Hut. These are well known brands that hold a large market share when it comes to our food niche. Small Mom and Pop pizzerias i.e. Post Game Pizza. This is a small local Pizzaria that holds some market share and has similar menu offerings as our store. Italian Diners i.e. Salvatores. This is a local Italian restaurant. We have some of the menu offerings that can cause some competition. Our business is different from our competitors due to the large loyal base that we have been able to attract over the years. Our customers have been able to trust our brand due to its consistency. Our service has set us apart and we truly believe that by focusing on building that service, we are able to build a larger base with our customers.
