Van Kampen Tree Services LLC 853368251 | Government Grant Application

Van Kampen Tree Services LLC | Application Preview

Van Kampen Tree Services LLC is applying for government grants to acquire vital equipment, including an insulated boom truck, a forwarder, a skid steer with attachments, and a trailer for transporting materials. This equipment will enhance the company's operational capabilities and enable them to meet increasing customer demand.

The business plans to use the grant funds to expand by hiring 1-5 employees in the coming year, with the ambition of growing to at least 15 employees within five years. They also aim to broaden their service area statewide and diversify their offerings by producing firewood and milling their own lumber for sale.

Their justification for funding emphasizes the high demand for tree services, reflected in a four-month backlog of work and daily requests from clients. They believe that improved equipment will allow them to complete jobs more efficiently and generate more employment opportunities in the industry.

Van Kampen Tree Services differentiates itself from local competitors, such as Turner's Tree Services, Eau Claire Tree Services, and Tree Savvy, by providing cost-effective services and accommodating clients' schedules. They are willing to work longer hours, including weekends, which sets them apart from many competitors who do not offer similar flexibility.

  • Funding Usage

We are looking to purchase equipment and machinery, such as an insulated boom truck or towable lift, a forwarder, a skid steer and attachments, and a trailer for hauling equipment/debris to and from the job sites back to the company site.

  • Business Plan

If we were granted funds to purchase equipment, we would like to expand our business by employing 1-5 additional employees in the next year. If we profit enough, we'd like to continue purchasing equipment and machinery to hire more employees throughout the next several years and compete with local companies in our area. We would like to other equipment and machinery to provide firewood and mill our own lumber, which we would sell as an additional profit. Within the next 5 years, would would like to have a minimum of 15 employees working for us, and would like to expand our service area to a more state-wide level. We are constantly getting requests from clients to have tree work done, and can certainly do the work but could do it sooner and in a quicker manner if we had the proper equipment. We are hard working, and looking to expand the company as soon as possible. We want to provide job opportunities to others in this industry, but cannot currently do so because we do not have the proper equipment to keep others employed full time. Every chance we have, we are working a job for a client, and are currently booked out 4 months, with people calling every day asking for services. I would like to get more jobs done sooner, and equipment would certainly help in that area.

  • Self Identified Competition

Our top 3 competitors in this area are Turner's Tree Services, Eau Claire Tree Services, and Tree Savvy. We provide cost-friendly services, and cater to our client's schedules. We are willing to work long days to finish a job, and work weekends. Our competitors typically do not work weekends, and are overpriced for many jobs.
