2nd Wind Community Foundation 2nd Wind Community Foundation | Government Grant Application

2nd Wind Community Foundation | Application Preview

The 2nd Wind Community Foundation is seeking government grants to enhance its programs focused on youth development. The funds would be allocated for various purposes, including providing meals, craft supplies, educational field trips, and school supplies for program participants. Additionally, the funding will cover rental spaces and activities like karate, gardening, dance, music classes, and programs aimed at restorative justice and bullying prevention.

The business plan emphasizes a commitment to nurturing children and youth through positive life strategies. The foundation aims to leverage social media for marketing and community awareness.

The case for funding highlights the founder's 30 years of experience serving children, equipped with a Master's Degree in School Counseling and certification as a Life Coach. This background is presented as a strong qualification for effectively impacting the lives of young people.

In terms of competition, the foundation identifies local schools, community centers, and daycare centers as its main rivals. However, its competitive edge lies in its smaller size, allowing for a maximum of 25-40 students and a favorable student-to-staff ratio of 1:4. This environment is designed to deliver personalized attention and support, appealing to students who thrive in smaller settings.

  • Business Plan

I plan to grow the business by firstly doing a great job at taking care of youth and children. Pouring into their lives positive strategies and techniques they can use for a lifetime. I also plan to use social media platforms for advertisement and word of mouth. Investors should always invest in someone who has invested in themselves. I have served children for 30+ years in several different capacities. I currently hold a Master's Degree in School Counseling and am a Certified Life Coach where I assist youth and adults in a variety of ways to impact their lives for the better.

  • Self Identified Competition

My top 3 competitors would be 1. Area schools 2. Local Community Center 3. Day Care Centers We are a smaller entity, and some students thrive better in smaller environments. Our maximum capacity would range from 25-40 students. Our student to staff ratio would be 1 to 4 (1 adult/ 4 children). Therefore, the fact that we can provide very personal care, and one on one attention, I believe sets us apart.
