Put It On A Shirt, etc. LLC. 88-1899025 | Government Grant Application

Put It On A Shirt, etc. LLC. | Application Preview

Put It On A Shirt, etc. LLC is seeking government grant funding to enhance its operations and expand its business. The requested funds will be utilized for several key areas: machine maintenance, equipment upgrades, marketing, vendor fees, website improvements, business education, and labor costs.

As a small business with fewer than five employees, the company plans to continue outsourcing labor and decoration until it can transition to full in-house production. Once capacity increases, they aim to invest in cutting-edge technology, expand their facility, and establish a structured workforce comprising various departments. This will improve customer service and streamline operations, allowing for greater control over the order process and the ability to offer a wider range of products.

The company positions itself as an innovative one-stop shop for custom apparel and related services, emphasizing diverse product decoration methods and client consultations. By focusing on continuous business education and adapting to market trends, they have successfully navigated challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic. Their e-commerce strategy, which includes an online presence for order processing, positions them favorably amidst growing competition.

Their main competitor is Custom Ink, known for its strong market presence and user-friendly website. However, Put It On A Shirt differentiates itself by offering no minimum order requirements, advanced printing options, and comprehensive drop shipping services. Their unique ability to integrate e-commerce solutions into client websites sets them apart, along with a broader product range that includes promotional items beyond apparel.

Additionally, the company plans to establish a nonprofit arm aimed at educating young entrepreneurs and fostering the next generation of decorators and designers. This initiative will focus on providing support and resources for starting a business in the custom apparel industry, promoting growth through networking and partnerships.

  • Business Plan

Since we are a small business or less than 5 employees, we plan on continuing to outsource our labor/decoration methods until we have made enough profit to transition into full in-house production. Once we reach our goal, we will have the ability to invest in the latest technology for product decoration, expand our facility (warehouse with land), and hire/train employees to create a proper organizational chart composed of multiple operation departments. Sales team, production associates, graphic designers, customer service, billing/invoicing, and a complete team that will keep business flowing as smoothly as possible. This will also allow us to continue to offer a variety of products to our customers and we will have full control of the entire order process. E-commerce is growing at a rapid pace, so there is an opportunity for us to stay ahead of the competition by creating a powerful one-stop website and offer our customers integrations into their website for us to handle their custom orders. We are a young and innovative company that offers a variety of product decoration methods, consultations, graphic design, web design, and more. Put It On A Shirt, etc. focuses on the etcetera portion of our name by offering more that just custom apparel. We are truly a one stop shop and customers are wanting custom apparel shops to offer a variety of methods while being able to handle any job from small to large. We have mirrored some of the top companies within our industry and offer competitive pricing, quantity discounts, online design studio, and a multitude of products. Continuing our education by attending business expos, training academies, workshops, and online courses allows us to recognize trends, pick out the latest and most sought out products, and navigate through crisis by adjusting properly such as the recent COVID-19 pandemic. Offering an online and in-store experience allowed for us to keep our doors open in the midst of a crisis that saw many businesses close their doors. Our expenses are limited and with us focusing on e-commerce it allows for traffic to flow through our website to our ordering system so we can focus on continuing to improve our business behind the scenes. We also plan to create a nonprofit arm of our business so that we can teach the youth and aspiring entrepreneurs how to get started in the custom apparel and promotional product business with a small investment. Educating the next generation of decorators and designers so that they can have the confidence to jump into the industry with no fear. Partnerships is what truly grows your business and we are finding ways to create opportunities for businesses and individuals to not only start a path of additional income through drop shipping and services, but also through networking and referrals. With us being a multi-faceted store, we can handle almost any project and if there is something that we can not do, then we will help and connect you with someone who can.

  • Self Identified Competition

Custom Ink is our biggest competitor and it is because they are well known within the industry. They also have an incredible website and the ease of navigation/usability is what makes them stand out amongst the competition. We price match with them if our customers bring a quote to us. DFW Ink is a local competitor that offers screen printing at a 24 piece minimum. Big Frog is a local franchise that offers DTG, Screen Printing, and Embroidery. We offer no minimum on most of our products, 10 color screen printing, and drop shipping/e-commerce services. The e-commerce is the one thing that our competitors do not offer, by integrating into a client's website or Etsy shop. Custom Ink is the only one of our competitors that offers an online design studio in order for customers to create and customize products online. We also offer more products such as signage and other promotional products instead of apparel only.
