Junk King Toledo 88-1618927 | Government Grant Application

Junk King Toledo | Application Preview

Junk King Toledo is applying for government grants to expand its operations by acquiring additional equipment, particularly a cardboard baler to enhance recycling efforts. The organization aims to create denser shipping materials to reduce landfill waste and seeks funds to assist low-income individuals with junk removal services.

The business plan outlines a five-year growth strategy that includes expanding recycling services to cover electronic waste and paint. Plans also include adding more trucks and hiring additional staff to manage increased demand and larger jobs. Through effective marketing and building a strong reputation, Junk King Toledo aims to grow its customer base.

The application makes a case for funding by highlighting the company’s positive impact on the community, emphasizing its commitment to recycling and donation. Unlike competitors like 1-800-Got-Junk and Horton Hauls Junk, Junk King Toledo actively chooses to recycle usable items and furnishes low-income homes while donating to local organizations. Their competitive edge lies in their community focus, commitment to recycling, customer service, and unique monthly garage sales that support local charities.

  • Funding Usage

We are looking to expand our business by added additional equipment. We would also like to be able to purchase equipment that could help us with recycling such as a cardboard bailer. We know there is equipment that could create denser shipping material to save space in the landfill. We would also love to find grants to assist lower income people with junk removal so we can serve others that need it to clean up their homes or property.

  • Business Plan

To grow our business over the next five years we plan to add additional recycling such as electronic and paint. We also plan to add additional trucks to serve people quicker and do larger jobs and we will add additional employees to assist with the larger jobs and drive additional trucks. Through building our reputation and marketing we hope to build a larger customer base. We are doing positive things for the community and we are helping to reduce waste. There are many items that people pay us to remove that are still good or able to be recycled that other companies would simply take to the landfill. Through our business we have been able to furnish refuge apartments, assist low income families, donate to several organizations in the community.

  • Self Identified Competition

1-800-Got-Junk - Large franchise, does not recycle and has smaller trucks. Well known business across the country but new to our market. Horton Hauls Junk - Local company that has been here for several years. Does not recycle or donate items. Well known in our market because of how long they've been here. J-Dog - Franchise. Can't do large jobs in our area and priced much higher. Our company has a true commitment to the community. We are focused on recycling and donating. We also do monthly garage sales where all the money is donated to local organizations. Our commitment is to provide positive customer experience, donate and recycle as much as we can and help others who need it.
