Business Plan
I am looking to expand my business in Bristol Bay Alaska. In the next five years I would like to expand to include another vessel that one of my children could run. Also expand from salmon in to other fisheries, pot cod fishing near Dutch Harbor and or Sand Point AK. I would like to continue on a family fishing tradition. I have been fishing since 1982, 37 years. We enjoy bringing fresh wild caught salmon from the pristine waters of Bristol Bay Alaska to the world market. I have fished here since 1986 and have a deep appreciation for production and high quality seafood. We have a market with Trident Seafoods. The largest seafood company in the world. We have never been on a limit. For this reason we can deliver as much product we can catch. We strive to produce as much high quality salmon as possible. At the same time keeping quality at a premium. We archive this by keeping our product at a chilled temperature around 34-36 degrees. We fool our tanks to float the fish, to enhance our product. We also deliver every 4-6 hours to our market.

Self Identified Competition
Our competitors are the above average fisherman in our fisheries. They all strive to catch as much fish as possible. We strive to out do them all in poundage and quality. Most of our competitors seem to be only concerned with poundage. They hold their fish too long. Stretch out there deliveries, and do not necessarily chill there product for quality. I am different from our competitors in that I am a life long fisherman. My father, brothers and my children have and do fish still today. We have been doing this a long time and we know what we are doing. We do all the preseason work to limit breakdowns during the fishing season. I cannot remember when we last lost fishing time due to a breakdown. Of course something will break along the way. We prepare for this by having the proper replacement parts close at hand. We also have a large and tight network of people and businesses we work with.
