Trew Love | Application Preview
Trew Love is applying for government grants to establish and grow a small business focused on children's clothing. The funding will be used for inventory acquisition, renting a space for storage, and purchasing essential equipment like a printer and laptop.
The business strategy involves leveraging social media, participating in fairs, and engaging in marketing activities such as giveaways to attract customers. Trew emphasizes the importance of building relationships with customers by understanding their needs and enhancing customer service through networking events.
Key reasons for funding approval include Trew's strong work ethic, a clear vision for the business, and personal motivation to succeed for the sake of her daughter. She is dedicated to creating a customer-centered business and approaches her work with passion and commitment.
While facing competition from a local boutique and a friend who sells women's clothing, Trew believes her focus on unique children's items will set her apart. She also cites larger competitors like Pink Lily but remains confident in her ability to succeed by offering competitive pricing and a personalized approach. Her intent is not to scale massively but to create a sustainable business that meets her family's needs, with the convenience of an online-only model that resonates with her local community.

Business Plan
I plan to grow my business from utilizing social media, setting up booths at fairs, word of mouth, marketing, and giveaways to gain followers. Also by getting to know my customers and their wants/needs, attending networking events, and offering great customer service. They should invest in me because I am an extremely hard worker and have such a great vision for this company. I’m willing to put in the time and effort to make this business a success. I have a daughter that drives me to succeed and be my best. I don’t take business lightly, I care about my customers and have a passion for this industry. I will go above and beyond to excel.

Self Identified Competition
As a new small business I will probably have several competitors. One is a brick and mortar boutique in my local hometown. They just recently started carrying children’s clothing. And while they’ve created a following I believe I will succeed. They mainly focus on women’s clothing and my inventory will offer different items from them. Another competitor is actually a friend of mine but she sells strictly women’s clothing and she is actually directing her customers to me if they’re searching for baby and children’s clothing. A third competitor would be the Pink Lily Online Boutique. They are very well known and have quite a big inventory but they are based in California. What makes me different from my competitors is that I’m not looking to become huge or rich. I am looking to provide for my family and run a successful business. I will not have employs, it will be run my be solely. Therefore my goal is to offer unique items at competitive pricing. I will also be selling strictly online, which I believe is more convenient for my target customers. Starting my business in the small town I live in will also help me gain a following because I know a lot of the buyers personally. Starting and running this company on my own gives me great purpose and drive to be successful.
