Business Plan
For the first 3 years I plan to only farm and sell cut flowers to a wholesaler. During the first three years I plan to grow the business with irrigation methods, additions of green houses for seed starting, years four and five establish a retail location and add 1-2 employees/ to make and sell floral arrangements. Growing flowers benefits humans and animals in the most basic needs of life by absorbing carbon dioxide and producing oxygen. Having flowers grown locally increases the production of product produced locally and cuts down on emissions from air travel and shipment time from overseas suppliers. Flowers help to bring positive emotions and memories while boosting comfort and increasing energy for those who receive flowers as gifts.

The top 3 competitors are located approximately one hour away. They have the same business model and also grow and sell cut flowers to local florists. They have approximately the same amount of growing space, if not slightly more. Their businesses have been established in business on average 3-15 years. Although there are businesses with-in an hour from me providing flowers to local florists I will be able to differentiate my products by growing a different selection/ type of flowers that other local flower farmers are not growing.
