Family Tradition Drywall Repair | Application Preview
Family Tradition Drywall Repair is seeking government grants to purchase a larger vehicle, ideally a van or box truck, to improve their drywall business. Currently operating out of an SUV limits their capacity to carry needed materials and tools, hindering growth potential. The owner believes that having a bigger vehicle will enable them to take on more jobs and significantly enhance the company’s operations.
The business plans to continue providing affordable drywall repair services while investing in advertising and expansion. The goal is to eventually operate two trucks with several employees, aiming to establish a reputable company that can be passed down to their son.
The owner emphasizes their dedication and professionalism, maintaining competitive pricing to attract more customers through word-of-mouth. Despite limited funding, they have made substantial personal investments into advertising across various platforms, including social media and business listings. They actively promote their services and are beginning to see an increase in work opportunities.
In the competitive landscape, established companies like Rubber City Drywall and Akron Drywall and Painting possess company vehicles and storage facilities, putting Family Tradition at a disadvantage. However, the owner believes their 30 years of experience in various drywall applications and commitment to affordability positions them uniquely in the market. Their focus is not on becoming wealthy but rather on supporting their family while assisting others, making their services accessible to those who may struggle with the costs of drywall repairs.

Funding Usage
I would like to get a bigger vehicle to use for my drywall company. One I can actually put drywall sheets in and be able to carry all my tools and materials. As of right now I'm doing my work out of an suv. I want to be able to grow and help people. I know it takes patience but I feel if I had a van or a box truck it would change the game on jobs I would be able to take on. Plus it would benefit my business big time.

Business Plan
I would like to keep offering a drywall repair service at a very affordable price and invest in my advertising and growth. I would like to eventually have 2 trucks and a couple employees. My goal is to build a company and professional reputation of doing good drywall work that I can teach my son and hand the business over to him when I retire. I'm very dedicated to my work. I'm very professional and I keep my prices very affordable so I will get more work ny people spreading the word. I have invested all I have plus money I don't have to advertise. I'm on Google, Yelp, Facebook, I have a website and business email address. I'm on Angi Leads, and Thumbtack. I have been approved to join the BBB but I don't have the funds for it. I pay for all my tools and materials out of pocket. I promote my company everyday by passing out business cards or reaching out to potential customers. Things are starting to pick up for me. I just feel if I could upgrade the vehicle I use it would benefit me so much and take limits off of what I can do and the services I can provide.

I have done everything from new residential homes, commercial, and remodeling. I offer my services at an affordable rate. I'm not trying to get rich, I'm trying to feed my family while helping another family in need. I know most people pay for Drywall repairs out of pocket and it can get expensive. For what other companies will do for I can cut my cost. I'm very professional and treat every customer's house with respect and professionalism.
