Milk a& Honey Coffee Cafe | Application Preview
Milk & Honey Coffee Cafe is seeking government grant funding to cover the salaries of two employees over the next three months. This financial support is crucial for sustaining the business during the off season and aiding its growth in the first year of operation.
The cafe has ambitious plans for expansion, including the development of a small retail space focused on plants and local goods, and to enhance community engagement through partnerships that support bee conservation. Additionally, the space will provide overflow seating and a venue for private events once renovations are complete.
The cafe emphasizes its worthiness for investment, highlighting its status as a small, family-owned business dedicated to fair wages and local sourcing. The encouraging response from the community has motivated the cafe to further expand its offerings.
In terms of competition, Milk & Honey Coffee Cafe positions itself against larger chains like Starbucks and Dunkin’ Donuts. Its competitive advantage lies in its commitment to local sourcing, with coffee beans sourced from nearby Myrtle Beach and Charleston, SC. The cafe prides itself on making all its food and coffee syrups from scratch daily, which contributes to its unique appeal.

Business Plan
This cafe has been a dream come reality and our vision is to grow in the following ways: With the second space attached to our cafe we intend to build a small retail business specializing in plants, sourcing local goods, and giving back to our partners supporting bee conservation. Additionally, the second space is undergoing construction to become overflow seating for the cafe and allow bookings for private parties. We are worth investing in because we are a small, family owned business, who wants to partner and support our local community by offering livable wages to our employees and buying goods made locally for our shop. The local community has been very responsive to our cafe but we want to expand further to offer more to our customers.
