Diakonos Housing, LLC 843464177 | Government Grant Application

Diakonos Housing, LLC | Application Preview

Diakonos Housing, LLC is seeking government grants to fund the acquisition of housing and cover necessary expenses like permits, inspections, equipment, and insurance, as well as to support the educational components of its program. The business aims to provide housing for specific populations, including youth, individuals recovering from addiction, veterans, and those with special needs. The initiative emphasizes job creation, offering participants the chance to earn equity in their homes while developing practical skills needed for employment in the housing maintenance field.

The funding will enable Diakonos Housing to educate individuals on home maintenance and instill a sense of ownership and pride in their living environments. This approach not only benefits the residents but also contributes positively to the surrounding community, promising returns for investors involved in the program.

While the housing market in Sacramento is competitive, particularly with numerous fix-and-flip projects, Diakonos Housing differentiates itself by focusing on long-term support for maintenance and repair education, unlike other companies, such as Century 21 and Zillow, which operate in the rent-to-own sector. The program's unique person-centered model prioritizes human welfare alongside financial sustainability, aiming to transform houses into homes. By prioritizing the needs of participants and offering them first access to job opportunities within the program, Diakonos Housing is positioned to foster both economic and personal growth for those it serves.

  • Business Plan

I plan to use the houses for specific people such as youth housing, recovering from addiction and reentering the community. I also will work with the independent living situation, with people with special needs and veterans. The plan also includes providing jobs to the people in the program. They will provide sweat equity for their own house as well as gain skills for those going into the field. The contractor will be able to guide these people in gaining skills to maintain a job in the field. The program will be able to provide education to those people who need a little more help in maintaining a house. Provide information to those who were not taught. The program will provide that level of ownership that brings about pride for yourself and surrounding area. Investors will also receive a return on their investments.

  • Self Identified Competition

For fix and flips there are a lot of people in the market. Sacramento is flooded with them. But none of them are doing a program to follow up with maintenance and repair information. With the rent-to-own market, there are company's like Century 21, Zillow, Trulia and Homelight. I am getting my license to be a real-estate agent to be more competitive in obtaining houses for the program. First this is a person-centered program that is conscious of financial gain. I do not value money above humans. I know money is necessary and the program will be able to make money to satisfy investors. Competitors want to sell a house and I want to provide a home and knowledge. The program offers jobs with the fix and flips to those in the program first. This will put participants in a better position to gain money in order to maintain the repairs for the house.
