WISPerNet Inc. | Application Preview
WISPerNet Inc. is applying for government grants to expand fiber internet access in rural Georgia, targeting areas with limited or no connectivity. The funding will be used to purchase fiber and hire workers to install it in underserved regions, particularly red line districts.
The business plan focuses on improving internet access for homes, schools, and businesses, enabling them to replace outdated technology and enhance their operations. There is a significant demand for reliable internet in these areas, and competitors have been receiving grants but not effectively utilizing the funds, as they are holding them in interest-bearing accounts. WISPerNet assures that any funds received will be put to immediate use.
WISPerNet faces competition from companies like Windstream, which does not meet FCC minimum internet standards in rural zones, Mediacom, which struggles with service reliability, and satellite providers like Viasat and Hughesnet, which throttle internet speeds excessively. WISPerNet's competitive advantage lies in its commitment to customer service, demonstrated by a 100% service level agreement and proactive monitoring of connections to mitigate outages.
