Little Splashes LLC 83-1042486 | Government Grant Application

Little Splashes LLC | Application Preview

Little Splashes LLC is seeking government grants to enhance their swim program and address critical community needs. The funding would support securing a permanent pool rental, training five new instructors, purchasing necessary student equipment, building a wheelchair ramp for children with special needs, launching a safety course for schools, and covering website advertising and administrative salaries.

The business plans to purchase a pool rental, which would facilitate the training of more instructors and potentially expand their student base from 75 to 300. This growth would contribute to the long-term goal of establishing a dedicated Swim School within three years. The vision includes serving the community with trained swim instructors, offering safety courses, and providing programs for seniors and individuals requiring water therapy.

The urgency for funding is underscored by the alarming statistic that drowning is the leading cause of death for children under four. Little Splashes operates in a water-rich area where local swim programs are underfunded and lack proper educational resources. The business positions itself not just as a profitable venture but as a means to impart a vital life skill to children.

Currently, there is limited competition, as Little Splashes is one of the few qualified instructors in the area. The competitive advantage lies in the owner’s extensive experience of over 25 years and a commitment to ongoing education, particularly in working with children with special needs. The focus on compassion and education sets the business apart, aiming to create a safe and knowledgeable swimming environment for children in the community.

  • Business Plan

There is an opportunity to buy into a pool rental. If this happens, this will allow more teachers to have training which will enable our business to grow from 75 students to 300. If this can happen, the profit will go into building an actual Swim School, which could happen in three years. If we continue to grow, our pool can be created, and we could serve the entire community with educated teachers on swim safety and helping those with special needs, along with offering classes for our elders and water aerobics and water therapy. Drowning is the number one cause of death in children under four. We live in an area surrounded by water, yet our swim programs are greatly underfunded as our public swim schools do not have the education it takes to train children to swim safely. There are many business modules out in swim schools, making it a profitable business, but beyond being good, it’s giving the gift of life to children by teaching a life-saving lifelong skill. communities will always have children and children will always need to learn how to swim.

  • Self Identified Competition

I truly wish I had competitors at the moment I'm one of the only qualified instructors willing to teach in our area. Our business first comes from a place of compassion & the drive to educate a lifelong life-saving skill to our children.,I have over 25 years of experience in teaching, and I continue my education, especially working with children with ADHD, autism and special abilities.
