  • Business Plan

Uplifting Treatment and Wellness Center’s marketing strategy involves a targeted community outreach approach to advertise its holistic and expanded treatment options. Establishing community partnerships with local churches, NA/AA meeting, parole/probation officers and inpatient recovery centers will be key to our marketing strategy as well as create brand awareness. Promoting our patient rewards program and transportation services that is exclusive to our center will help us standout from our competitors. Additionally, using flyers, developing a website, and establishing a social media presence will not only increase brand awareness but also improve access opportunities for patients. Uplifting Treatment and Wellness Center is a medical treatment office that provides primary care, therapeutic, and psychiatric mental health services for patients suffering from substance use disorders. This is an all in one care in one office which is not something that is done in other addiction treatment centers. Our mission is to provide primary care and mental health services to patients suffering from addiction regardless of their financial situation in one primary location. Our overall goal is to treat the patient holistically by treating the mind, body, and soul so that recovery success increases, and the risk of relapse, overdose, and death are reduced. It will operate as an LLC S Corp business and will consist of primary care physicians, psychiatrists, therapists, and treatment center staff. Business hours are 10 am to 7 pm every day of the week and with a plan to open in June 2023 after receiving the required state and federal medical credentialing and licensure. To support our clinical staff, we will be providing continuing education training to ensure our staff is knowledgeable on current medical breakthroughs, information, and case studies. This will ensure our patients are receiving the best quality care. We believe substance use disorder is a disease that affects people of any economic status, race, ethnicity, or gender. We view addiction as a chronic disease and believe that long-term remission is achievable with individualized medical management that is unique to each patient. Addiction treatment encompasses the patient’s mental health and primary care needs. There are currently 30 treatment centers within a 50-mile radius of our proposed center location, none of which offer a holistic approach to treatment or all the services we will provide. Additionally, these centers only offer day shift appointments with no afterhours availability. At Uplifting Treatment and Wellness Center, treating patients with dignity, compassion and respect are paramount; each patient is unique and deserves individualized care in a safe and nurturing environment. Within 1 year, our goal is to provide the following services to our patients: • Primary Care Services • Addiction Treatment • Therapy Counseling • Psychiatry Counseling • Hepatitis C testing and treatment • Transportation to and from our center • After-hours care for patients with full-time day jobs Our 2 to 5-year goals are as follows: • Open a second location by the 2nd year • Operate 3 or more treatment centers in Indiana by year 5

  • Self Identified Competition

Freedom Therapy and Recovery Services is a privately owned center that provides substance use disorder and alcohol treatment in Peru, Indiana. Additionally, they provide aftercare recovery support, group therapy and accept most insurance plans. They have no online presence, only 1 patient review and pricing is not readily available. They do not provide primary care services and so not assist with transportation needs. Clean Slate Centers offers substance use disorder treatment. They offer counseling but not at all offices. They do not have psychiatry and do not offer primary care services. Their focus is treating addiction only. First City Recovery provides substance use disorder treatment and group therapy and is located 28 minutes from Peru, Indiana. They specialize in trauma therapy and accept most insurance plans. They also do not offer primary care services. UpLifting Treatment and Wellness Center will provide holistic substance use disorder treatments to treat the mind, body, and soul of patients. Thus, improving recovery success and outcomes. With an expanded treatment offering that includes primary care services, hepatitis C testing and treatment, counseling with therapists and psychiatrists, patient transportation, and extend hours for appointments all in one location, the center will reduce and/or eliminate barriers that prevent patients from seeking treatment. Many of these treatment centers belong to national corporate brands and have a limited scope in treatment options. Payment options for uninsured patients are limited with a higher emphasis on private insurance acceptance. Uplifting Treatment and Wellness Center will have a competitive advantage due to its location, unique and expanded treatment offerings, ability to cultivate community partnerships and payment options for uninsured patients. Our competitors do not offer additional services outside of standard drug abuse treatments such as primary care services. By providing primary care services, we ensure continuity of care for our patients post recovery by treating any other underlying health concerns which improves the patient’s quality of life and supports continued recovery success. While we and our competitors accept most insurance plans, we will be the only treatment center that provides financial assistance for patients who are underinsured or uninsured. Our pricing policy includes a reduced rate payment option for services based on patients’ income. By providing transportation to and from our clinic, we effectively eliminate patient expenses related to travel.
