20Bags 804881168 | Government Grant Application

20Bags | Application Preview

20Bags is seeking government grants to cover startup costs, focusing on building aesthetics and advertising. The business aims to grow through a membership model, utilizing community events, advertising, camps, and classes to engage potential members.

The applicant emphasizes their resilience and determination, citing their military service in Iraq and ability to maintain employment during challenging times, including the COVID-19 pandemic. This tenacity forms a core reason for requesting funding, as they believe it showcases their potential for successful business management.

In terms of competition, 20Bags identifies local mixed martial arts gyms, Planet Fitness, and CrossFit gyms. Instead of viewing them solely as rivals, the applicant sees them as part of the marketing strategy. They believe their unique offering of fitness diversity—combining elements of martial arts with affordable access—will set them apart. The gym will provide a safer option for those interested in martial arts and promote full-body workout routines with punching bags, ensuring a fresh and engaging fitness experience.

The funds would be used for start up costs. Specifically building asthetics, and advertising.

  • Business Plan

The business will grow from membership. Membership will be nurtured through community event campaigns, advertising, camps and classes. I'm a warrior. I served in Iraq, stayed employed through the various covid fears. Stayed employed through the employment crisis. Worked hard, saved and thought critically. To get to the position I am in now. I regard my tenacity towards difficulty as my merits for an opportunity to prove my business sense.

  • Self Identified Competition

The local mixed martial arts gym, the local planet fitness and the CrossFit gym are my competition. However, I see them as my best marketing strategy. Fitness routines need diversity. My gym provides a layer of fitness diversity not yet appreciated on a large scale. An option you can add to what you already have, or a place to start. Bags are very affordable, filling them to a professional composition is as well. By creating a space where gym goers can entertain the image of martial arts without the associated risks. Or improve build by cutting, as punching bags are amazing full body cardio and calisthenic exercises.
