Sunflower Medical Clinic 88-1880262 | Government Grant Application

Sunflower Medical Clinic | Application Preview

Sunflower Medical Clinic is seeking government grants to enhance their facility by installing new doors and windows, which will improve temperature regulation for patients waiting for services. They also plan to invest in sanitation machines to ensure proper disinfection of treatment rooms.

The clinic accepts new patients and offers scheduled appointments along with walk-in hours, aiming to expand by hiring another nurse practitioner and an additional nurse in the coming years. They have expressed interest in becoming a VA site to serve the local community better, despite current resistance due to the lack of nearby facilities.

Approval for funding is justified by the clinic's commitment to providing medical care without additional local funding. They actively contribute to the community through charitable initiatives, such as donating $750 worth of Christmas gifts and providing scholarships for students entering law enforcement and the medical field.

In terms of competition, the clinic faces other medical facilities in the area. However, its unique offerings set it apart. With extended hours, including weekends, the clinic caters to a diverse workforce in the railroad community, solving issues related to urgent care needs and potentially reducing emergency room visits. Their respectful treatment of patients and swift growth in clientele further emphasizes their commitment to community health care.

  • Funding Usage

We would like to update the building by putting a new door and new windows in the front of the building. This would help regulate the temperature while people are waiting. We would also like to add some sanitation machines in the building so we can do our part to make sure the rooms are disinfected.

  • Business Plan

We are currently accepting new patients. We work by scheduling appointments and also have walk-in hours. We would like to add another nurse practitioner in the next couple of years and bring in another nurse. We have made an attempt to become a VA site but so far, they are not interested in having one in the area. We will continue to work towards that goal. There is not one with in 60 miles or greater at the moment. We are providing medical treatment to the community. We have no additional funding by the community. We are trying to give back to the community also by doing drawings and giveaways. We do not keep any of the profit for these but donate it to good witch program which will buy Christmas gifts to the families that can't. We donated $750.00 in Christmas presents this last year. We also did a scholarship program for people going into law enforcement and medical field.

  • Self Identified Competition

We are a medical facility. The hospitals and clinics are competitors to us. We are 1 of a kind facility in the area. The local hospital receives tax revenue from the community. We work weekends and late hours to provide services all types of workers. People can walk in, and we will work them in. This is a railroad community and are able to provide services to them with the different hours they work. We take patients on Saturdays & Sunday's. This saves people from having to pay emergency room visit bills. We treat all patients with respect and growing our business and clientele quickly because of it.
