Salty Rental Services, LLC 87-1564355 | Government Grant Application

Salty Rental Services, LLC | Application Preview

Salty Rental Services, LLC is applying for government grants to enhance its business operations. The funding will be utilized to develop a website for direct bookings, list rental properties on various booking platforms, replenish essential supplies for the upcoming tourist season, and improve inventory storage solutions for greater efficiency. Additionally, the owner aims to hire staff to manage the increased workload, ensuring consistently high service levels for both property owners and guests.

The business plan focuses on expanding property management services, creating more job opportunities in the local area, and establishing an online presence for streamlined bookings. Currently, the owner's workload limits the ability to take on new properties, making additional help essential for growth.

The rationale for approving the funding revolves around the owner’s extensive experience in hospitality since 2000, combined with a passion for providing personalized service that sets the business apart from larger rental management companies. The owner has received positive feedback from property owners they assisted before formally starting the business in 2021, highlighting a strong foundation of trust and satisfaction.

In terms of competition, Salty Rental Services operates in a market saturated with rental management companies but differentiates itself by acting as a co-host. The owner’s direct involvement in property maintenance and guest relations enhances the value offered to property owners who cannot manage their properties remotely.

Overall, Salty Rental Services emphasizes a commitment to quality service, attention to detail, and the importance of maintaining high standards for both properties and guest experiences, which drives repeat business and positive reviews.

  • Funding Usage

I would use the funding to build a website, list my rental properties on other booking engines, restock my needed supplies to get ready for our tourist season that is getting ready to begin as well as being able to setup a better solution to store the inventory to make it more efficient. I would possibly be able to hire someone to assist me with the work rather than doing it all myself like I have been. I could then take on more business without losing site of the level of service I provide for my owners and guests.

  • Business Plan

I plan to take on more properties to manage for owners and hire more help providing more jobs in our area. I would also like to have a simple website for direct bookings as well as list the condos on other booking engines. At this time I cannot take on more properties because I need help to manage all the tasks I handle. I live in a town that thrives on tourist. I have worked in hospitality since 2000 and learned all fields from operator to revenue management. I enjoy working in this industry, but wanted to offer my owners and guests a more personal, hands on experience than the big rental management companies can in our area. I have helped most of my current owners with their condo rentals for many years as a favor prior to starting my business in 2021. They were the ones that suggested I start my business because they were so thrilled with my service. I take pride in my work and what I offer to our guests. I want our guests to enjoy their stay in our area so they return for years to come. I work hard and I am very hands on. I have managed the business funds very well over the last 2 years, but would like to start working towards a little growth.

  • Self Identified Competition

There are tons of "rental management companies" in our area, however, I am more of a co-host with the condo owners. This is what makes me different than a standard rental management company. I wouldn't know who to list as a competitor since I am such a small fish. My current owners have been with rental management companies in the past, but were unsatisfied so they began to manage it themselves on Airbnb and VRBO. They do not live in this area so it is difficult to do that because they can't keep an eye on the condo. I personally go to the condo in-between each guest stay to check for damages, inspect the clean, check for maintenance issues that need to be addressed and will report any necessary issues to the owner immediately. When something is needed to be done, I will ensure the work is done properly in a timely manner. Unlike most rental management companies in our area, I go to the properties and make sure they are taken care of for the owner and so the guest knows they are getting what they paid for. Those condos represent my business and since I do not have a large inventory I depend on good reviews as well as repeat business. If an owner refuses to keep a condo up to my standards for our guests I will no longer rent that property. My owners and guests are important to me so the condo is my pride and joy.
