The Lather Corner is seeking government grants to support its business growth. The funds will be allocated for purchasing ingredients, covering payroll for the owner, enhancing marketing efforts, and hiring professional services such as an accountant and lawyer. Additionally, the aim is to expand the workspace, moving from a cramped area to a dedicated facility.
The business plan includes broadening the product line with more natural ingredients and creating job opportunities. Within five years, the goal is to establish a storefront that serves as a multi-functional space for retail, workshops, and a community hub.
Jessie Miranda, the 29-year-old entrepreneur behind The Lather Corner, shares her passion for creating handmade soaps, stemming from a longstanding dream of entrepreneurship that began at age 12. The business emphasizes the use of high-quality, environmentally friendly ingredients without shortcuts, thereby crafting unique soap products in small batches. The commitment to sustainability and customer education is a core aspect of The Lather Corner's identity, aiming to create a thriving business while contributing positively to the community and the economy.

Self Identified Competition
Top 3 competitors are Dove, Bath & Body Works, and commercial soaps. The Lather Corner is different then my competitors because we value what ingredients are used for our products. Our products are not the cheapest in the market because we use quality ingredients, hand make in small batches to perfect each bar of soap. We don't add substitution and don't cut corners on quality. The Lather Corner care about the environment and the impact some ingredients have on habitats and where its sourced. Competitors mass produce and need to find a way to have the lowest production cost. While still trying to turn a profit, The Lather Corner will always research and test the best safe, quality, and one of a kind products.
