Upper Valley Appliance Services | Application Preview
Upper Valley Appliance Services is seeking government grants to enhance its advertising budget, promoting more consistent work, and to acquire specialty tools that will improve efficiency.
The business plan focuses on growth through the training and hiring of additional technicians, forming partnerships with property managers and landlords, and being approved by manufacturers to service appliances under warranty.
Investors are encouraged to support this venture as it operates in a recession-proof industry, with no direct competitors within a 25-mile radius. Many local appliance service companies are aging out, creating an ongoing demand for these services in the community.
In terms of competition, there are three main competitors within 25 miles, but they either do not service Vermont or have long lead times, which leaves a significant opportunity for Upper Valley to capture market share with faster service.
What sets Upper Valley apart is its exceptional customer service. The company takes the time to explain issues to clients and provide preventative maintenance tips, fostering a more interactive and informative experience compared to other service providers that merely complete the job and present a bill.

Self Identified Competition
There are three main competitors in the area are around 25 miles away. One does not service appliances in Vermont which leaves a large gap in service. The company to the north of us. Is very busy and has a large lead time to service appliances. We'd be able to service clients quicker and take more of a market share with the quicker times we can service these clients. The third company is an appliance store that only services what they sell. What makes us different from other companies is our level of customer service. We provide details explanations to our clients along with why we think it went wrong and some tips for preventative maintenance to do in the future. We are not in the mindset of providing the service and handing over the bill without talking with the homeowner to make sure what went wrong.
