Black and chrome llc | Application Preview
Black and Chrome LLC is seeking government grants to fund the establishment of a restaurant. The primary aim is to create job opportunities for recently released felons, in partnership with local jails and authorities, by providing housing and transportation assistance.
The initial focus will be on serving breakfast, as it requires simpler preparation, before expanding to lunch service. Over the next two years, the plan is to develop staff capabilities for managing dinner crowds, ultimately transitioning the restaurant to a 24-hour operation. The staff will start with four employees, with the goal of growing the team to over twenty. This initiative aims to reintegrate individuals into the community by equipping them with social skills and customer interaction experiences.
The proposal highlights the significant number of incarcerated individuals in the U.S., with many having kitchen experience, making a restaurant a fitting venue for reintegration. Black and Chrome LLC emphasizes a supportive environment that enables these individuals to build their futures while also passing on their skills to new employees.
Currently, there seems to be no other establishments focusing on hiring former inmates, giving Black and Chrome LLC a unique competitive advantage rooted in its commitment to offering second chances.

Business Plan
In the beginning I would be open for business for breakfast only. This is the easiest thing to prepare. Than after I have worked with the staff we can open for breakfast and lunch. After 2 years we should have several cooks with experience to manage a dinner crowd. Then I would like to stay open as a dinner 24 hours a day. Starting off with 4 employees and growing to more than 20. This experience in the restaurant business would help to provide a way back into the community by providing social skills and relationships with customers. With the US having the largest percent of its population incarcerated. And most of the incarcerated having experience in the kitchen it only makes sense to give them an opportunity to get back on their feet at a restaurant doing something they know how to do. I can offer a positive environment with a doorway for felons to establish themselves. Learning the business then Teaching their motivated replacements before they move on.

Self Identified Competition
I don't know anyone offering restaurant work to people getting out of jail. Because I care the most about giving them a second chance.
