    Let’s Go Ministries, Inc is a startup agency that services 18-45 year old youth and adolescent males who suffer from Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Skills and Emotional Intelligence (EQ) Awareness deficiencies and traumas; bringing awareness to our communities. Let's Go Ministries, Inc would use the $350,000 grant to provide its EQ & SEL Mastery: A Framework For Young Men Training to the nearly 108,000 incarcerated men nationwide. Participants who complete this course will gain a better understanding of emotional intelligence, social-emotional learning skills, and their impact on mental health and well-being. They will also learn practical tools and techniques for building and maintaining emotional intelligence, social-emotional learning skills, and overall well-being, including self-awareness, self-esteem, coping with trauma and triggers, goal setting, and maintaining progress and wellness. Completing this course can lead to improved relationships, better communication skills, and an overall sense of well-being and personal growth. This grant would assist Let’s Go Ministries, Inc in empowering the over 10 million single parents, which equates to over 30% of America’s population, with 75% of those being single mothers, to regain economic strength. It would also assist us to employ the tools and knowledge required to assist men to become more productive citizens in our homes, in our local communities, and within our career organizations. By reinvesting the over $25 billion spent nation-wide into Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and Emotional Intelligence (EQ) Awareness, we can properly train our young men to have educated engineers, skilled workers, and have enough funding to rebuild the American infrastructure that fuels this American economy.

    Since the virtual speaking, coaching, mentoring, and consulting business does not immediately require the same assets a traditional brick and mortar corporation, likewise, Let’s Go Ministries, Inc. will not initially require have the same staffing requirements. Smothers will assume all personnel roles, as do all small business owners, until such a time that client and service demands dictate that temporary and permanent staffing must be hired to receive oncoming clientele. The agency will hire full-time speakers and coaches as client and service demands dictate. The agency will also hire a temporary HR Specialist until such time as a full-time HR Specialist can be hired as client and service demands dictate. The agency will also hire a temporary Administrative Assistant until such time as a full-time Administrative Assistant can be hired as client and service demands dictate. The company will also hire an administrative assistant who will assist Mark with paperwork and act as a receptionist. Although it will rely on temporary and part-time help, quality will not be compromised, since customer service is the key to success. Smothers, his existing business, and personal relationships within the Upper Marlboro community will be the essential factor in establishing effective marketing. The marketing strategy will thus be achieved through a one-to-one, to basis with enhanced use of brochures. The strategy will be further enhanced by the monthly participation in a virtual one-to-many advertisement networking alliance with Alignable, to establish local and nation-wide marketing presence to gain loyal and repeat customers. This community-based marketing scheme will be expected to deliver a healthy customer base from available Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Skills and Emotional Intelligence (EQ) Awareness customers of the Upper Marlboro Community.
