Grove Coast LLC 88-3481051 | Government Grant Application

Grove Coast LLC | Application Preview

Grove Coast LLC is seeking government grants to fund improvements for their retail store, which include new flooring, lighting, displays, and inventory security enhancements. The owner's vision focuses on fostering community connections and promoting family engagement through outdoor activities.

The business plan emphasizes active involvement in local organizations, networking through the Chamber of Commerce, and maintaining a strong presence at community events and on social media. This approach aims to build brand awareness and loyalty among local families.

The applicant believes their venture is a worthy investment. As a nurse and mother of four, the owner expresses a desire to create a space that facilitates family bonding and outdoor exploration, while also supporting wellness and connection among the community. The shop is designed to offer a variety of products for a fun family outing, and the social media strategy will further unite individuals and families who share a love for the Florida lifestyle.

In terms of competition, the shop faces a sportsman-style retailer nearby and larger chains like Walmart and Dick's Sporting Goods. However, Grove Coast LLC differentiates itself by focusing on the Florida outdoor lifestyle and catering to families, with an emphasis on offerings for men and children, which are currently lacking in the downtown area. This unique positioning provides a competitive edge in attracting families looking for outdoor gear and apparel.

  • Business Plan

Growing a business in our small town is multi-faceted. Serving on several not-for-profit organizations within my community and being a current Chamber of Commerce member, I value the networking and resources gained by connecting with other leaders and entrepreneurs. This coupled with consistent presence in city and private events and social media marketing and blogging will increase awareness and endearment for my company. My cause is worthy of investment. As a nurse and mother of four boys, I have struggled recently with balancing work, self care and quality family time. My company is meant to include not only my small family, but inspire other families of all walks of life to get outside and make memories together. As a retail shop, we will have everything needed for a fun family day. On social media, we will connect other individuals and families who are seeking well-being and belonging and share a love for our Florida lifestyle.

  • Self Identified Competition

Andy Thornalls - a sportsman style retail shop about 10 miles from my downtown shop. All other boutiques near me have only women's clothing and home decor. Walmart and Dicks sporting goods would also carry similar items. My shop is different in that it specifically highlights the love of Florida outdoors and the correlation between activity and togetherness bringing a sense of well-being. Additionally, in my downtown district, no other retailer has clothing for men or children or sporting goods.
