Auggie Bowl | Application Preview
Auggie Bowl is applying for government grants to support the soft costs and interior buildout of their facility, which will contribute to their 20% capital injection for an SBA 7A loan. Their business aims to provide more than just family entertainment; they seek to forge a strong relationship with the local community through their mascot, Auggie, envisioning him as an iconic figure in Saint Augustine within five years.
The business plan includes leveraging a state-of-the-art point-of-sale (POS) system to better understand and market to customers based on their entertainment preferences. Auggie Bowl intends to capitalize on the existing tourism market by collaborating with local hotels and vacation rentals to offer group package discounts. They also emphasize the importance of innovation in their entertainment offerings and plan to stay engaged with industry tradeshows and workshops.
In terms of funding justification, Auggie Bowl boasts extensive industry experience and has conducted a feasibility study that points to potential success. They highlight a lack of similar offerings in the local market, enhancing their chances for success with the right operational team.
Comparatively, local competition includes Anastasia Lanes, which has a long-standing but limited product offering, and Autobahn in Jacksonville, which, despite a broader entertainment scope, is too far from their target demographic. Palm Coast Lanes also offers a singular entertainment option, located 30 miles away.
Auggie Bowl believes their competitive advantage lies in offering multiple entertainment options beyond bowling, utilizing advanced technology within their POS system to engage customers effectively with personalized marketing. Their intention is to create the only comprehensive family indoor entertainment facility within a 30-mile radius of Saint Augustine, setting them apart from existing competitors.

Business Plan
At Auggie Bowl, we are not just offering family entertainment but a relationship with the community. Our purpose is to make a living, but more than that, we strive to make an impact in our local community. By branding our mascot, Auggie, all over the local Saint Augustine community, we envision him being an icon to the city in 5 years. By leveraging our state of the art POS, we will be able to capture and market to our existing patrons according to their entertainment preferences and build our raving fanbase. By utilizing the already established tourism market of Saint Augustine, Florida; we will be able to capitalize on incoming guest by partnering with surrounding hotels, arbnbs and vrbos alike with group package discounts. However, the most important aspect of growth in our industry is always staying innovative and current on our entertainment offerings for an entire family. By staying involved with our industry's tradeshows and workshops, we will continue to offer state of the art entertainment for years to come, expanding our customer base and word of mouth each year. We have surrounded ourselves with years of industry experience. Followed their lead and become involved with the industry's tradeshows an workshops and have begun building relationships in all aspects of business within our 4 walls. We have a local market that has virtually no offering like what we are bringing to the community and our projections and feasibility study point to success if we have the right people to operate. We are the right people to operate, and have proven this in our own fields of business over the last 25 years.

Self Identified Competition
Anastasia Lanes - Been in the local area for over 20 years, will not renovate, has a singular offering in Bowling and lacks any commercial marketing. Autobahn of Jacksonville -- Has family entertainment with multiple offerings but is located over 35 miles away from our demographics. Offers Go Karts, axe throwing, Virtual Reality and arcade with food and beverage service. Service is not well managed with hourly employees wandering a lot. Palm Coast Lanes -- Bowling alley with food and beverage service. Good league bowling following but 30 miles away form our demographics, and only one entertainment option. We believe Auggie Bowl differentiates form the bowling alleys in that we offer 4 other entertainment options within our facility. We will also be utilizing a POS system that captures patrons coming in and what they play and allows us to market to them with discount packages and prizes to build our raving fanbase. While Autobahn also uses this type of marketing, we feel we will bring more technology to our games with projected axe throwing targets and a fully immersive Virtual Reality Arena experience. The main difference between us and competitors is the lack thereof, this would be the only true family indoor entertainment facility in the Saint Augustine local area within 30 miles.
