613 boutique llc | Application Preview
Ashton Link, the owner of 613 Boutique LLC, is applying for government grants to sustain the business after significant financial strain due to unforeseen circumstances. Since mid-March 2020, Ashton has not taken a paycheck and faced a loss of approximately $10,000 during the mandated shutdown in April. The requested funding would be used solely for essential expenses, including rent.
In the first year, 613 Boutique navigated numerous challenges, including a partnership buyout, a tornado, and the pandemic. Despite these setbacks, Ashton remains committed to growing the business and building connections within the community. The business operates with a strong financial awareness and was on track to pay off inventory debts before the pandemic disrupted operations.
In terms of competition, 613 Boutique contends with other local shops in Greenville, SC, such as Monkees, Southern Sisters Boutique, and Vestique. However, its competitive advantage lies in offering affordable clothing, shoes, and unique products made by local artisans, including woodwork, jewelry, and other handcrafted items.

Funding Usage
I, Ashton Link ( 0wner) have not taken a paycheck since 3/16/20. I need to be able to stay in business by paying the rent ( I was not given any leniency when having to close for the month of April by the government.) This amount would go directly to necessary means only. I lost a forecasted amount of $10,000 during the shutdown for retail in SC during the month of April. ( That does not include the pay I have not taken).

Business Plan
During my first year of business I have dealt with a Partnership buyout, Tornado and pandemic. With that being said I do not see my ability to loss faith or interest coming true for 613 boutique. I have met so many wonderful people and will be working towards the growth tremendously, day to day, year to year. It is a dream come true and I have survived the unforseen during year 1. I am financially conscience. Had this pandemic not happened by inventory debts would have been paid off as I switched from Fall/Winter to Spring/Summer and had to shut down per the government. I am smart, dedicated and persistant.
-
Self Identified Competition
I compete with local boutiques in Greenville, SC. Monkees, Southern Sisters Boutique and Vestique. I specialize in affordable clothing and shoes as well as local artisans. Woodwork, jewelry, art, teas, candles, yeti cups ( all made in GVL).
