Patriot Archery, LLC | Application Preview
Patriot Archery, LLC is applying for government grants to fund employee salaries during its first year of operation. The goal is to establish the business as the leading indoor archery and sports venue in the Tulsa metroplex and across Oklahoma.
The business plan emphasizes membership growth and monthly tournaments, with plans to add more simulators as demand rises. A unique aspect of the business is its commitment to promote archery, particularly among youth, while also supporting veterans through fundraising efforts and job opportunities for them.
In terms of competition, the application highlights a lack of similar offerings in the Tulsa area. Current indoor ranges are limited, typically featuring only ten shooting lanes and a maximum distance of 20 yards, without 3D targets or simulators. In contrast, Patriot Archery plans to provide a 3D range with ten lanes, allowing shots up to 40 yards, as well as a separate youth range and an archery simulator.
The competitive edge lies in the multiple archery ranges offered, the focus on 3D targeting and simulators, and the business's commitment to fundraising for veterans, making it more than just a retail space for archery equipment.

Business Plan
I plan to grow my business through increased memberships and monthly tournaments as well as expanding the business to include more simulators as demand increases. I am a U.S. Navy veteran. I served on the USS Henry M Jackson ballistic missile submarine from 1994-1998. I completed my enlistment with distinction and received a number of awards. My business will be utilized to promote the sport of archery and encourage more youth to get involved in the sport as well as archery hunting. I will be using my business as a means to give back to veterans through fundraising initiatives. I also intend to hire veterans to work at the business.

Self Identified Competition
There are no competitors in the Tulsa metro area that will offer what my business provides to archers and sports enthusiasts. The typical indoor archery range in the Tulsa area has no more than 10 shooting lanes and the maximum distance is 20yds. These ranges do not provide 3d targets and do not have archery simulators. My main range will be a 3d range with 10 shooting lanes. Archers will be able to shoot up to 40yds on the primary range. I will have a separate range for youth and archers with bows that shoot no more than 30# draw weight. I will also have an archery simulator that will allow shots to 25yds. I will have multiple archery ranges. My range will have 3d targets as well as simulators. The purpose of my business is primarily an indoor archery range rather than an archery retail sales business where shooting is not the primary focus of the business. My business will also be focused on fundraising initiatives to support our military veterans.
