IS VERY RURAL AND THE OPTIONS FOR RETAIL SPACE ARE EXTREMELY LIMITED, SO THE FUNDING WOULD GO TOWARDS THE PURCHASE OF BUILDING/OFFICES AND REMODELING WITH ROOM FOR A COMMUNITY SPACE. IN ADDITION, I WOULD LIKE TO PROVIDE THE COMMUNITY WITH FREE HEALTH RELATED SEMINARES AND FREE CONNECTION BUILDING ACTIVITIES/EVENTS.

IN THE NEXT 5 YEARS, I WILL GROW THE PRACTICE TO ALLOW FOR 4-5 THERAPISTS WORKING FULL TIME. IN ADDITION, THE BUSINESS WILL PROVIDE FREE COMMUNITY BASED ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS MINIMALLY 2X A YEAR. I WAS RAISED IN A SMALL COMMUNITY IN SOUTHWESTERN NY. THE COMMUNITY WAS CONNECTED THROUGH SPORTS AND MANY COMMUNITY EVENTS. I EXPERIENCED FIRST HAND HOW IMPORTANT COMMUNITY IS TO ME AND MY FAMILY. MY INTENTION IS TO FIRST, BUILD A BUSINESS THAT ADDRESSES THE PSCHOLOGICAL NEEDS OF INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILY, BUT THEN TO EXTEND THIS INTO THE COMMUNITY IN ATTEMPTS TO RECREATE WHAT I EXPERIENCED AS A CHILD. WARREN, PA, IS ABOUT 20 MINUTES FROM WHERE I GREW UP AND THE COMMUNITY IS SUFFERING FROM A LACK OF CONNECTION. AS YOU CAN IMAGINE, THERE ARE MANY MENTAL HEALTH NEEDS BOTH ON A MICRO LEVEL, BUT ALSO ON A MACRO LEVEL. I'M INVESTED IN MY COMMUNITY IN WARREN AND I KNOW SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE TO HELP IT RECOVER FROM ALL THE ISOLATION AND LACK OF CARE. I'VE BEEN WORKING AS A THERAPIST FOR OVER 15 YEARS AND HAVE FOUND THAT WORKING WITH INDIVIDUALS IS NOT ENOUGH TO CREATE LASTING CHANGE. PEOPLE HAVE TO BE SUPPORTED AND STIRRED UP BY THE COMMUNITY.

THERE ARE TWO MAIN COMPETITORS IN MY COMMUNITY. THEY ARE LARGE AGENCIES WITH OVER 100 STAFF. THEY HAVE GROWN IMMENSELY OVER THE PAST 10 YEARS AND LOST THEIR COMPASSION FOR THE COMMUNITY AND THEIR STAFF. THEY BOTH HAVE VERY POOR REPUTATIONS, BUT CONTINUE TO EXPAND. THE FIRST AND MOST OBVIOUS IS THAT I CARE ABOUT PEOPLE AND THE COMMUNITY. IT'S NOT ABOUT BECOMING WEALTHY AND MAKING A NAME FOR MYSELF.
