R and R Recovery | Application Preview
R and R Recovery is seeking government grants to support their recovery efforts after experiencing setbacks due to COVID-19. The business faced challenges as some tenants struggled to find work, leading to financial losses while trying to assist individuals in recovery.
The application's core business plan focuses on acquiring property to create a safe, clean, and sober living environment specifically for individuals in recovery who often struggle to find support in traditional sober living facilities. The founder, a recovering addict with nearly six years of sobriety, emphasizes the need for transitional housing that provides a bridge between structured sober living and independent living. This type of environment addresses the gap many individuals face when they move out of more structured settings.
While there are existing sober living options, the approach taken by R and R Recovery offers a unique blend of independence and support. By allowing residents to share apartments with a small number of roommates, the program fosters a supportive community while also encouraging personal responsibility.
The competitive edge of R and R Recovery lies in its willingness to accept individuals who often find themselves marginalized by traditional facilities, including families in recovery, couples, and individuals with challenging backgrounds. The founder believes that providing these individuals with a chance can significantly impact their recovery journey. Overall, the funding would facilitate the establishment and growth of this much-needed service in the community.

Business Plan
I would like to get to the point of purchasing a property to help individuals in recovery have a safe, clean, and sober living environment to help all the ones that traditional sober living environments do not help or are not able to help I myself am a recovering addict with almost six years clean now and when I was coming through this process I went through sober living and when my time was up living in sober living there was not a next step for someone in my situation. It was going from living in a house with 7 to 10 other guys with structure to being on my own and that was a big jump and I have seen alot of people fall back into addiction at that point so I got the opportunity to open up sober living apartment building so it is that next step after living with 7 to 10 other people where my building they share a apartment with 2 or 3 other roommates

Self Identified Competition
There is other sober living, but nothing like what I do with the level of housing in recovery I give people in recovery a little more independence then any other sober living that i have found anywhere but still provide structure where they can continue their process of recovery and I also help those that don't really have many options like family's in recovery, couples, women and children, men with children and just some of the people that have some backgrounds that most places will not give them a chance I do and that is what some people need is just a chance
