Birdies2Bogeys | Application Preview
Birdies2Bogeys is seeking government grants to support its business launch and growth. The funding is earmarked for various purposes: $10,000 for an initial product order, $1,000 for marketing efforts, $1,000 for website and graphic design, and $1,000 for legal fees. The founders have already invested $875 in a trademark application and establishing an LLC.
The business plan focuses on building awareness and a customer base through direct engagement at golf courses. Strategies include promoting the brand and products by creating a strong presence in the golfing community, such as distributing branded golf balls and networking with golfers.
The application highlights the military background of the founders—one is an Air Force veteran with nearly 21 years of service, while the other is a veteran and current El Paso County Sheriff. Their shared commitment to the business, having reconnected after years, adds a personal touch to their venture.
In terms of competition, Birdies2Bogeys faces established brands like Travis Matthews for golf apparel, Callaway for apparel and equipment, and Short Par 4. However, their competitive edge lies in offering trendy, modern golf attire aimed at everyday golfers, particularly weekend players. The clothing is designed to be versatile enough to wear off the golf course, making it suitable for various social settings, which sets them apart from more traditional golf apparel brands.

Business Plan
We plan to grow Birdies2Bogeys by starting out online and growing it through going to each and every golf course we can to get our name and product out there. Whether it’s diapering golf balls on a course with log and business name, personal contact with golfers, setting up any way to help spread our name. AF Vet still active duty. Almost 21 years of service. My partner is an El Paso County Sheriff and a vet as well. I was actually his recruiter back in 2009 and we reconnected. I’ve always wanted a business of some sort and this one clicked between Josh and I awhile back and decided to dive in.
