Generations Painting and Drywall LLC | Application Preview
Generations Painting and Drywall LLC is applying for government grants to address several financial challenges. The funding will be used for catching up on rent and utilities for the office/shop, paying back wages to employees, settling tax obligations and child support, making federal payments, reducing material bills, and reimbursing customers who opted out of jobs due to COVID.
The business plan focuses on hiring and training dedicated workers in the painting and drywall sector, instilling a sense of pride and commitment to quality work. The owner emphasizes the importance of preserving the legacy of their craft as a third-generation painter, expressing a desire to revitalize the trade and ensure a reputable business now and in the future.
In terms of competition, the owner notes the challenge posed by their father, an established painter with over three decades of experience, as well as other local painters and larger city competitors. However, the owner believes their competitive advantage lies in the strong relationships built with customers. Clients often return for more work or refer others, driven by the owner’s attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Business Plan
My plan is to hire and train in willing and able decent accountable human beings to do good work in the paint and drywall field. Teach pride and commitment to operate and close out more jobs. I have been blessed enough to be a 3rd Generation painter. This is a dying trait that needs more attention and workers that enjoy what they do. I have confidence that if I can have help to get out of a slump that I am in due to COVID this year that I will continue to have a reputable and wanted company that people want their work done by now, in the last 6 years and in the future to come.

Self Identified Competition
My first competition would be my father whom has been in this line of work for 30+ years. Well known and good at what he does! 2nd would be local painters that are up in age, work alone, good prices that suit individuals. 3rd painters from larger cities that locals and other neighboring communities could call in when or if I am not available. I am different because I care about the relationships I make with each and every one of my customers. Majority of my customers always call back for more work or refer to family and friends. I believe I stand out because I pay attention to every fine detail of the scope of work and do not leave my work until my clients are happy.
