Werewolf Moon Studios 87-0937475 | Government Grant Application

Werewolf Moon Studios | Application Preview

Werewolf Moon Studios is seeking a government grant of $30,000 to $40,000 for hiring essential staff, which includes programmers, artists, sound engineers, and level designers. Additionally, they request $10,000 to $15,000 to build a marketing team for their social media outreach. The remaining $25,000 will be allocated to further support these positions.

The company aims to expand over the next five years by releasing completed games featuring microtransactions that support nonprofit organizations. They plan to engage with the gaming community through platforms like social media, Discord, and Reddit to understand gamers' desires and tailor their games accordingly. They also intend to venture into crowdfunding for their major titles. Currently, they are a small team of three and require funding to progress their projects.

Werewolf Moon Studios differentiates itself by prioritizing fan feedback and addressing concerns about the gaming industry's current practices regarding microtransactions. Their approach includes allocating a portion of microtransaction profits to nonprofits selected by consumers. They emphasize transparency by ensuring that game demos accurately reflect the final product, avoiding the common pitfalls where promotional content does not match the actual game. Additionally, they plan to reintroduce cheats for added fun, enhancing player engagement.

The competition includes established companies like Blizzard of Albany, Gameloft, and 1st Playable Productions. However, Werewolf Moon Studios believes their consumer-focused philosophy, commitment to ethical microtransactions, and thorough testing processes will give them a competitive edge in the market.

  • Business Plan

The plan for the next 5 years is to grow the business out, to do this we plan on releasing games in finished states and put microtransactions into our games that will benefit nonprofits. We also plan to scour social media, discord, and reddit to find what gamers want and to create games centered around those promises. We also plan to get into the crowdfunding space with our big hit game. We need help with grants because we would like to start the crowdfunding phase of our business and get programmers to help us out since we're only a team of three people right now and we need funding to realize our visions. Our company is going to be different from most companies because we will actually listen to the feedback from the fans and critics. We also will be changing the way microtransactions are seen with putting a percentage aside for nonprofits of the consumers choice in a drop down list. Most game design companies these days only care about the money and the consumers are starting to get concerned about this and less games are being sold. We are planning to change what people hate about the industry into what people once liked about the industry before it went missing. Also, whenever we create a game, we also create a demo to go along with it. Most companies will show off a demo that includes content that isn't found in the final game. What you see in the demo and trailers from us will be in the game somewhere. We are also bringing back cheats for our games so that players can have more fun alongside just playing.

  • Self Identified Competition

Blizzard of Albany Gameloft 1st Playable Productions What will make us different from our competitors is that we focus more on what consumers what and would like to see in games. What also makes us different is the fact that when we will put microtransactions into our games, they will not only benefit us, but also nonprofit companies as well. Most importantly, unlike most developers that exist today, we do extensive testing on every game we release, before we even release it to the public, that includes delivering on all promises that we announce in our promotional material. Also, whenever we create a game, we also create a demo to go along with it. Most companies will show off a demo that includes content that isn't found in the final game. What you see in the demo and trailers from us will be in the game somewhere. We are also bringing back cheats for our games so that players can have more fun alongside just playing.
