Business Plan
I currently have two freelance, part-time virtual assistants. I'd like to be able to afford to hire them both full-time so I can focus more on growth opportunities as well as writing my next book series. I write memoir (2 so far) about surviving childhood sexual abuse and do outreach to help other survivors. I also write business books to help writers learn how to market their books. With more help, I'll have more writing time as well as more consulting time with clients, which I really love. I've been in the business world since 1990. I started my business in 2011 and many of my clients have been with me for years and years. I've been featured in the Huffington Post and mentioned in Forbes as an expert in social media and book marketing, and I'm currently a top writer on Medium.com in social media. I KNOW my stuff. Top New York Times writers hire me to market their work and handle their social media. I am successful and continue to build my business, with higher income each year.

Self Identified Competition
1) BookBaby.com is a terrific self-publishing company (which I am NOT); however, they offer social media and book marketing services which are pretty standard and not customizable. It's a one-shot deal. I am hands-on, offering one-on-one consulting via Zoom, showing the client how everything works, and I'm available to them via phone/email/text the entire time we're doing business (during business hours, of course). 2) Viralnation.com is a huge company that charges huge prices. They are ranked well, and they focus on influencer marketing on channels like Snap and TikTok. For writers, these are ephemeral platforms that aren't helpful for long-lasting and establishing SEO. Long-term, brand-building name-establishment is the goal. Building relationships over time is my goal for my author clients, and I've been quite successful with my own author branding as well as my clients using this strategy. 3. Smith Publicity - great company, sends me several clients. While they do offer social media services, it's LIMITED. I'm grateful to have a terrific working relationship with several of their PR agents, who frequently work with me and their clients on blog tour campaigns and general social media campaigns to amplify their strategy and messaging to reach the widest audience possible. It's a win/win for everyone! Everything I do is customizable to my clients, so I fit my services to meet their needs. I also go above and beyond in all tasks and activities, so, e.g., if I promise to deliver one post/day, I give two. If I promise to 5 retweets of their tweet, I deliver 10.
