Emerald Valley Veterans Day Care / Retreat 851156836 | Government Grant Application

Emerald Valley Veterans Day Care / Retreat | Application Preview

Emerald Valley Veterans Day Care / Retreat is seeking government grants to fund the expansion of its daycare facility specifically designed for veterans. The funding will allow them to accommodate approximately 66 veterans, providing a supportive environment where they can continue their counseling while engaging in various activities that promote a positive outlook on life. The aim is to redirect their thoughts away from suicide and foster a more fulfilling existence through social interactions and outdoor experiences.

With this expansion, the organization plans to create numerous job opportunities, including positions for counselors, nurses, and activity directors. The founder brings over 27 years of experience in caring for veterans and has witnessed the profound impact of their struggles, including instances of suicide and the resulting grief for their families. The retreat has already initiated activities like fishing and bonfires, creating joyful experiences for veterans instead of isolating them in their rooms.

Emerald Valley identifies a lack of competition in their approach, as traditional nursing and rehabilitation facilities typically revert to isolative routines. Their unique advantage lies in the extensive 1200 acres dedicated to veterans' activities, such as fishing, hiking, and interacting with farm animals, all aimed at improving their mental health and well-being. Ultimately, the organization emphasizes the importance of honoring veterans by providing them with a caring and engaging environment, rather than confining them to isolation.

  • Business Plan

With the expansion we will be able to accept about 66 veterans and more , depends how fast we can secure the funding for the expansion wich not only help the veterans but will also create multiple jobs openings from Counseling to more nurses ,activities directors etc. I been taking care of veterans for over 27 years , i have seen their family’s i been together with their loved ones when a veteran committed suicide and families had no answers , no idea why , and no comfort , we have took veterans under our wing even there was no financials available till they got approved , took them fishing , bone fires , trails that were wheel chair manageable , and we have seen their happy faces , instead of same routine Everyday ( rehab back to room ) , we will appreciate anyone who will help us help our Veterans after all they did they’re part to keep us free now is our part to Honor them by taking care of them not lock them in a room .

  • Self Identified Competition

What we are doing base on our team research we have not found any competitors ,The other nursing / rehabilitation have the same concept everything then back to the room alone , ,Our expansion consist on 1200 acres just for the veterans to live life ,with fishing , activities at they suggesting, trails available, music around bone fire , been around farm animals , get involved on the animals petting redirection they’re kids when they come for visit to show them what they been doing and how they feel about , bottom line our goal is to redirect the mentality to a different direction .
