Funding Usage
I currently am operating my business two days a week. I am also a homeschool teacher, so as of right now, this is the only time I can give my business. It’s unfortunate because there is a great need for more classes in my county. I hope to operate five days a week at some point, but need additional employees. That is one thing that I would do with the money. Hire an employee. In addition, my business was created within months of the pandemic. My county has limited resources and activities for children from the ages to of 1 to 4 years old. When I opened my business, I didn’t realize the extensive need in my county for special needs children due to the pandemic. I quickly jumped on the opportunity to train in yoga for special needs children, which help children with autism, ADHD, and other conditions. I would love to have an ABA therapist come to my classes and join me and my efforts in identifying areas of need for children, and help guide families in identifying areas of strength and weakness with their children. If I had additional employees, and this particular therapist, that I am interested in, I would be able to open five days per week, and we be able to help many more children in my county. I’ve had many children leave my classes and start attending preschool, and their teachers are so impressed with how advanced they are with their letters, colors, shapes, art skills, and other various socialization skills as well.

Business Plan
My business was opened in 2020 and currently, I am operating with 50 clients. On average, and with only two classes per day, at two days a week, I can only serve up to 50 children. In order to grow the business, I need to be open on additional days, and I need to have more employees. My business is perfect for growth, as there is a great need and have a waitlist of over 30 people trying to get into my classes. I would like to be considered for a grant, because my business is completely original. I am a mother of four and over the years, I started to see what really worked for my children in terms of learning. Music, stretching, circle times with creative songs, socialization while playing with educational toys, and arts and crafts are just a few to name a few. I created my business based on what I thought children need at this time. Children are in desperate need of socialization. The pandemic affected our little people the hardest, and they have had limited socialization skills. My business does provide that, but in addition, it allows parent and child to form a bond through play and learning at the same time. In addition, it prepares them for preschool by giving them basic preschool needs. They are enhancing their gross motor skills because my business has so many climbing/jumping mechanisms and it encourages movement and yoga especially during our movement song at the end of each class. Many of the children begin classes with absolutely no fine motor skills. The increasingly improve every week as the crafts that I offer, are simplistic enough to where they can do it on their own, but also imaginative enough, to see what kind of great things that they can really create. I see moms every day who are desperately trying to get into our public schools and receive individual education plans for their children. I feel like my classes give them the experience they need to learn what a school environment could be like, and, therefore, will lessen the chance that they will need to have early intervention in the elementary years. Lastly, classes help the mothers as well. Mental health is a struggle, especially for full-time stay at home parents. This gives moms opportunities to get out and socialize with other mothers, and get involved with other people in their community, My classes provide: 1. Enhances social awareness. 2. Mommy & me classes combat postpartum depression. 3. They teach children about healthy exercise. 4. Leaving the house can feel refreshing. 5. Provides sensory stimulation. 6. Increases confidence. 7. Fosters language development. 8. Allows mom to make connections. 9. Strengthens the parent/child bond. 10. Increases fine and gross motor development.

Self Identified Competition
I currently do not have any competitors. My business was strictly created from scratch from my own ideas and there is nothing like it in my area. Nor, is there any other options like it in other surrounding areas. I currently do not have any competitors. My business was fully made from scratch based on my own ideas. There are no other businesses like mine in the area near me. Truthfully, I’m not even sure there’s a business like mine in the United States.
