The Left Brain Group 81-3860618 | Government Grant Application

The Left Brain Group | Application Preview

The Left Brain Group is seeking government grants to manage ongoing business expenses, including settling debts from previous marketing events, compensating independent contractors, and funding initiatives that will generate long-term revenue. The business plan focuses on several key projects, notably the LBG Residency, which aims to secure annual subscriptions from clients, effectively boosting consistent income. They also aim to double their talent roster, expand training opportunities in the beauty industry, and enhance their status as an Agency of Change by providing scholarships for underrepresented individuals.

The organization's achievements in its eight years of operation underline its impact on fostering inclusivity within the beauty sector. By collaborating with movements like The Dresscode Project and Texture VS. Race, they advocate for a more diverse beauty industry while driving growth and engagement in New Orleans through innovative marketing and hair events.

In terms of competition, The Left Brain Group faces companies like Hairbrained, Pony Education, and Social Art House. However, they maintain a competitive edge by being exceptionally unique and focused on independent artistry rather than aligning with larger corporations. They successfully support independent hair artists and provide alternatives to mainstream brands, positioning themselves as a trendsetter in professional education and product offerings. With a commitment to creativity and innovation, they are poised to significantly impact the hairdressing community.

  • Self Identified Competition

Hairbrained Pony Education Social Art House We always strive to be exceptionally unique. We have been able to participate in both the professional education and product spaces within the industry without being a big corporation like Estee Lauder and Loreal. The big brands are always looking to see what we are doing and trying to replicate our programs and often times rip off the artists. We are an agency that gives a platform and voice to the independent hair artist and offer salons and beauty professionals an alternative to being beholden to the big brand manufacturers. We curate incredible talent, create the most unique offerings and produce the most highly attended industry events.
