Funding Usage
The funding will go towards gym equipment to train clients on. Any and all renovations it will take to turn the space into a useable gym as well as a couple months rent until a regular flow of income starts. I want to take $10,000 of the grant to start a foundation for the local community that helps educate our youth on the importance of health and fitness at a young age. I believe children are our future and it is important to teach them young and provide them with the tool and resources to make them successful in life.

Business Plan
I plan to incorporate other trainers into my gym to help grow the business financially and with more clients. This includes marketing and advertising. Having local events at the gym as well as getting involved at other local charities and events within the community. Start with one person at a time, provide them a great service and results, then positive word of mouth and continue to grow. One person at a time. I have been an ER Nurse for over 12 years. I am currently a 1LT in the USAR, a NASM Certified Personal Trainer as well as a NASM Youth Exercise Specialist. I grew up playing sports all my life (mainly softball and volleyball) but love most anything. However, I have a passion and calling to help people. I have seen first-hand what not taking care of yourself can lead to, thanks to so many years spent in healthcare. I have also seen patients come in on countless medications and have no clue what they are for or what side effects they cause. I decided I wanted to stop this and try to change this culture. I became a Certified Personal Trainer in 2022 because my passion is to lead the world towards a healthier lifestyle. And this can be done with simple everyday changes that lead to a LIFESTYLE change. Everybody is unique, with their own strengths and limitations. My method is to build a custom plan based on your health, schedule and fitness goals. I also have become certified through NASM in Youth Exercise Specialty because children are our future. We do them a disservice by not teaching them the importance of a healthy lifestyle when they are young. This way the entire family can work out and grow together!!

Self Identified Competition
None With the money I want to open a small "Trainers" gym in my town. There is a big commercial box gym but there is not a small business gym, one that actually promotes fitness to our town and supports other local businesses. I want this to be a private gym for personal trainers to train their clients without the gym being overcrowded or full of broken equipment. I want clients to feel comfortable and safe in their environment and not feel like all eyes are on them, especially our female clients. This is a place where we can change the lives of people and help them live longer healthier lives for themselves and their families. Moms and Dads will also be able to bring their kids with them while they train and not have to worry about leaving them at home or paying additional fees. I want the entire family unit to be healthy and involved.
