Creating Crystals | Application Preview
Creating Crystals is seeking government grants to alleviate existing debt and invest in essential equipment and materials. The intended funding will enhance the business's ability to generate more revenue. The business plan includes wholesaling to national companies, offering jewelry making classes, and eventually establishing a storefront.
The application highlights a compelling case for funding approval as the business is solely run by the owner, who is dedicated to building it from scratch. The owner emphasizes the unique experiences provided to clients through personalized service and custom jewelry.
In terms of competition, there are similar businesses nearby, including one that has expanded with multiple locations, another woman-owned business offering classes, and a nationwide jewelry brand entering the local market.
Creating Crystals' competitive advantage lies in the owner’s background in architecture and history, which informs the design of unique, handmade jewelry. The curated gemstone collection and the focus on allowing clients to express themselves through the pieces further set the business apart.

Business Plan
I plan do wholesaling with companies throughout the country, start jewelry making classes and eventually opening my own store front. I am a one woman show, building my business from the ground up with every penny I make. I create an amazing experience for my clients whether it’s the service I provide or the custom jewelry I create for clients.

Self Identified Competition
One main competition for the jewelry service is a nearby location who has opened two other locations this year, slowly adding other jewelry pieces to their products. Another competitor would be a woman owned business who also offers jewelry making classes. A final competitor would be a jewelry service that is nation wide and bringing their brand into my city. My inspiration is based on my degrees and studies: architecture and history. All my jewelry pieces are hand made and my gemstone collection is completely curated. My vision is for clients and customers to create themselves through my piece and build their own collection.
