Living Legends Community Tennis LLC 92-2563999 | Government Grant Application

Living Legends Community Tennis LLC | Application Preview

Living Legends Community Tennis LLC is applying for government grants to enhance its marketing efforts in New Castle County, hire staff, secure office space, and expand its operations into additional counties across Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland.

The five-year business plan aims to strengthen LLCT's infrastructure by bringing on Coaches and County Directors to manage daily operations. As the organization broadens its reach, it will utilize direct mail and community advertising to draw in new customers.

Funding approval is sought due to the organization's innovative approach to serving the tennis community. LLCT aims to offer essential tennis services, particularly competition opportunities, to players of all ages and skill levels. By fostering community engagement and skill development, LLCT creates significant value for both customers and employees.

In terms of competition, LLCT primarily faces the United States Tennis Association (USTA), which provides a structured tournament framework but often involves high barriers to entry, long travel distances, and substantial time commitments. Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) poses another challenge, acting as a platform for events, but shares similar drawbacks as the USTA regarding accessibility.

What sets LLCT apart is its competitive edge: it offers a lower barrier to entry, local accessibility, frequent events, less time commitment, longer match formats, and affordable costs. The LLCT Circuit Matches are held at local public tennis facilities, fostering community interaction and participation.

  • Business Plan

In the next 5 years, I plan to grow Living Legends Community Tennis by expanding the business infrastructure to more counties, while hiring Coaches and County Directors for day-to-day services and operation. As LLCT expands into more counties, direct mail and community advertising will be done in those counties to attract customers. Investors should invest in Living Legends Community Tennis because it is an innovative and greatly needed tennis organization, providing fundamental tennis services, primarily competition, to tennis players of all ages and levels. LLCT creates value for its customers and its employees, engages the tennis community, and provides the opportunity for anybody to develop and refine their tennis skills and character.

  • Self Identified Competition

LLCT's main competitor is the United States Tennis Association (USTA). The USTA provides a framework of tennis tournaments to players at various age groups and levels. However, the USTA Tournaments are only a foundation, private tennis organizations host these tournaments. In the USTA system, there is a high barrier to entry, they are often far to travel to, are a large time commitment, and are shorter formats than traditional tennis matches. Another competitor is Universal Tennis Rating (UTR). UTR is also a platform and not a direct competitor. Tennis organizations, such as LLCT, host UTR events and advertise on the UTR site. The same problems with the USTA system apply to the UTR system. Living Legends Community Tennis is vastly different than its competitors in many areas. Advantages of the LLCT Circuits over USTA Tournaments or UTR Events are as follows: lower barrier to entry, more local, more frequent, less time commitment, longer format matches, and less expensive. LLCT Circuit Matches also take place at local public tennis facilities, engaging the community.
