Devon Coles Training Academy | Application Preview
Devon Coles Training Academy is applying for a small business grant to support its training operations and future development plans. The funding will help cover essential costs associated with maintaining a safe and clean training environment, particularly in light of increased expenses for disinfecting supplies due to COVID-19. This financial assistance aims to sustain the business while working towards the goal of owning a dedicated gym facility for basketball players and athletes.
The business plans to lease or purchase a building to facilitate skill development, hire additional trainers, and employ videographers to enhance marketing efforts. With a solid and growing clientele, the academy has established a strong presence in the South Jersey region, boasting a five-star rating on Google and consistently attracting new clients each month.
The proposal outlines a unique opportunity for investors, highlighting the lack of similar facilities in Burlington County and the potential for profit through gym rentals for teams. The competition includes established entities in neighboring areas, but the academy's distinctive offerings, such as a comfortable space for parents during training sessions, set it apart. The vision is to create a premier basketball training hub that could become a leading brand in New Jersey within the next few years.

Funding Usage
I am looking for financial assistance with a small business grant to help with fees that come along with the training business.I am in hopes to find a building in the next few years to own my own gym but I am aware of the financial hardship that it can bring. I believe that a small business grant can assist with keeping my training afloat while launching my future projects. Due to COVID-19, I am spending a substantial amount of money on disinfectant spray, sanitizer, and paper towels. A small grant would help fund these resources so that I can save my profits from the training.

Business Plan
I plan to lease/own a building for basketball players and athletes to develop their skillset. I plan to hire other trainers and videographers to further market my brand. I believe someone should invest in my brand because of the history and potential that it can bring. I have a consistent clientele base that continues to grow and I foresee that it will become one of the top brands in the state of New Jersey within the next 2-5 years. I currently have a 5 star rating on Google and I appear in the top 3-5 searches within the area of South Jersey. I have seen a growth in clientele with at least 5 new clients per month within the last 4-6 months. I have a plan to open a gym for basketball training but also renting it for teams to use for practices and games so that I could receive profits from that as well. There are not many gyms within the South Jersey area that provide daily training and rental use for games and practices. I believe this brings a unique approach to an investor.

Self Identified Competition
My top three competitors are Fidonce Player Development in Philadelphia,PA. Peak Skills basketball in West Berlin,NJ and Nexxt Level Sports in Voorhees,NJ. None of the sports programs I listed are in the Burlington County area and I believe that offering training and gym rentals within the Burlington County area can further separate me from the competition. I plan to offer additional services such as a lounging/entertainment area for parents and guardians while their child is training.
