Grounded wellness center BL -14304 | Government Grant Application

Grounded wellness center | Application Preview

Grounded Wellness Center is applying for government grants to enhance its facilities and expand its capacity to serve more clients. The funding will primarily be used to increase the size of their yoga and event room, allowing for greater attendance, and to create additional treatment rooms for a wider range of personal services. This expansion aims to attract more teachers and practitioners, ultimately enriching the offerings at the center.

The business plan centers on maintaining high-quality services, with the belief that word-of-mouth referrals are the best form of advertisement. Grounded Wellness Center will continue using digital marketing and fostering community partnerships through the Chamber of Commerce and local events. Staff members also engage in speaking engagements to raise awareness and attract more visitors.

Grounded Wellness Center underscores its community impact as a small family-owned enterprise that has persisted through challenges over five years, emphasizing personal growth, friendships, and partnerships. They offer a variety of wellness services, including yoga and meditation, contributing positively to their community.

In terms of competition, the center identifies Tribalance in Schaumburg and Yoga6 in Barrington as notable rivals, alongside Pulsation Yoga in Arlington Heights and Lake Zurich. While they overlap in some offerings, Grounded Wellness Center distinguishes itself with a highly skilled staff and a unique range of services.

Its competitive edge includes being the exclusive authorized Midwest training facility for 'Angel of Water,' a company specializing in hydrotherapy, as well as providing organic food and juice options. Furthermore, they support local artists by featuring a small boutique in their lobby, making Grounded Wellness Center a comprehensive destination for wellness.

  • Funding Usage

We would like to increase our capacity and be able to serve more people at our facility along with make improvements. We would like to increase the yoga/event room space so that we can have more clients/students attend. Additionally we would like to buildout a couple new treatment rooms so that we can offer more times and types of personal services/ treatments. This would likely allow us to bring in more teachers and practitioners to the staff.

  • Business Plan

We will continue to focus on offering the best quality service and treatments as our main objective. We believe referrals from a friend or family are the best advertisement and have so far primarily built our business. We will still use forms of advertising such as Google and FB and other digital platforms. We are part of the Chamber and look forward to even more business partnerships to help grow our businesses and the community. Additionally, some of our staff has the opportunity for speaking engagements and other presentations that drive traffic to the business. We are a small family owned business that is following our dream and so far making it work. While this has been more challenging that we thought it would have been, we have made it through to the 5 year mark and see the impact that has been made in the community. While we offer yoga, meditation, and a lot more that has to deal with wellness and a healthy lifestyle, we love that the impact on the community has been mostly that of friendships, growth, partnerships, and acknowledging the beauty of challenging situations. We strive to allow individuals the space for their personal growth while improving their health and wellbeing.

  • Self Identified Competition

Our most direct competitor is Tribalance in Schaumburg. For a variety of reasons I have never personally been in their facility. I do know some of the staff and have some very good things to say about the staff members that I do know. I will not comment further on their facility or operations. Yoga6 is a chain style yoga/fitness studio that recently opened in Barrington and is close enough to us to be competition. The style of fitness classes they offer are a bit different than our as they are more fast paced than ours. Pulsation Yoga in Arlington Heights and Lake Zurich is another competitor of ours. Their offerings are more similar to ours but still different enough. Where we do overlap is hosting some of the same traveling practitioners for events and workshops. We are different because of our high quality staff and array of offerings. We have a staff of yoga teachers that are desired by other local studios. We have treatment practitioners that are consistently being offered opportunities to move their practice or operations to other facilities. We are also are the exclusive authorized midwest training facility of "Angel of Water" which is a worldwide company that manufactures hydro (water) therapy devices. We are a one stop shop for wellness as we offer organic food and juice options along with meal plans. We do have a small boutique in our lobby that offers unique and handmade items up for sale as a way to support local artists and other small businesses.
