    We have a 3 phase plan for funding. 1. The purchase of a high-quality digital camera in order to take product photography in a variety of settings for use on both our website, social media pages, and advertisements. 2. Bulk purchase of jewelry supplies. Right now supplies are ordered in small batches as we have cash inflow, however shipping times vary wildly for different supplies and often the production of new pieces is delayed because there is not a proper stock of all the necessary supplies. 3. Any remaining grant money would be used in advertising to grow our audience and customer base.

  • Business Plan

    We have a 2-fold expansion plan for the coming years. First is to expand our product catalog to include more items that are not just jewelry but adjacent products that also appeal to our target market. Second we are expanding our wholesale/consignment reach to as many physical stores as possible. Our goal is to match our online revenue stream with purchases made in stores. Hawk Couture started as small side project just out of the interest of jewelry making. Since it's official registration as a business approximately 3 years ago the brand has grown significantly. In 2021 the company went from 1 to 3 employees and revenue grew from about $40,000 to $90,000 in 2022. The brand has also doubled its social media following in the same amount of time. With a real team of employees in place and a track record of growth during a pandemic economy, there is no doubt the business would be greatly and positively impacted by additional funding.

  • Self Identified Competition

    There is a wide range of online jewelry retailers that we consider competition, it would be difficult to highlight 3 specific brands. What sets us aside from the competition is our design aesthetic and overall branding. We compete primarily with the crystal jewelry subset of the industry; however, our designs are less ornate and intentionally more minimalist in style than typical crystal jewelry. This makes us more accessible to a wider range of jewelry consumers. We also use stainless steel chains, wire, and charms almost exclusively so that our jewelry is more durable, more affordable, and won't tarnish. In addition, our branding is unique in that we use lots of outdoor and nature photography to highlight the natural beauty of the gemstones we choose to use in our designs.
