The CatNap Cafe llc 20231170928 | Government Grant Application

The CatNap Cafe llc | Application Preview

The CatNap Cafe LLC is seeking government grants to fund two key improvements: installing a water line and drain for beverage service and laundry, costing $23,350, and adding HVAC for $1,110.

Over the next five years, the cafe plans to launch special classes that will enhance the customer experience, including talks by Becca Droz, a contestant from The Amazing Race, and vibrational sound therapy sessions with cats. The water line will also facilitate tea tasting events.

The cafe positions itself as a unique social hub for individuals, particularly the elderly, who may be feeling isolated, especially post-pandemic. It aims to foster community connections through companionship with cats. With low overhead costs and the buzz surrounding its opening in Parker, the cafe believes it is poised for profitability.

In a state with four existing cat cafes, The CatNap Cafe sets itself apart by specifically targeting senior citizens, offering field trips from assisted living centers. The benefits of animal interaction, such as reducing anxiety and loneliness while promoting mental stimulation, underscore its mission to support this growing demographic. This focus on seniors is a significant competitive advantage in a market that primarily serves a broader audience.

Vibrational sound therapy classes with cats. With the installation of a water line we will be able to have tea tasting experiences. Investors should invest in The CatNap Cafe because we are offering an experience that is different from other cat cafes in Colorado. We are interested in creating a place where people and communities of people who feel isolated and lonely can come for companionship with the help of cats. The pandemic isolated people, especially the elderly and we can help bring them together and we can help cats who want to cuddle and socialize. With the low overhead cost and the excitement generated by the buzz of a cat cafe opening in Parker, profitability is inevitable!

  • Self Identified Competition

There are four cat cafes in Colorado. The first one to open was The Denver Cat Company. It opened in 2014 and had been very popular and successful. The other 3 opened in the last 2 years with one in Loveland, one in Denver and one in Boulder. Our one main difference in our cat cafe is that we are focusing on providing an experience for the senior population. Assisted living centers can arrange for their members to come to The CatNap Cafe on a field trip. The benefits of putting an animal are numerous, from lowering blood pressure, stimulating the mind, reducing anxiety and reducing loneliness. We are the only ones who are reaching out to this population and as the number of seniors grow in our communities it is important to keep them from feeling isolated.
