Nightmare Forge LLC | Application Preview
Nightmare Forge LLC is seeking government grant funding to cover startup operational costs as they establish a workspace in Elgin, IL. The funds will assist with equipment purchases and preparation of the space, reducing the pressure to generate immediate income.
The company's five-year plan includes expanding into various markets, such as educating makers throughout Illinois and beyond. They aim to support multiple theatrical productions and eventually create their own projects, fostering opportunities within the industry. Additionally, they plan to collaborate with local schools to teach essential technical skills for theatrical production.
Nightmare Forge believes their unique offerings fill a significant gap in the market, as there are few, if any, similar resources available in the area or nationwide. They intend to empower individuals by providing access to creative spaces and tools, which they see as vital for nurturing artistic potential. Their commitment extends to designing innovative products for theatrical productions, which they believe stand out in the current market.
The company perceives a lack of direct competition, as traditional educational pathways may not be accessible to everyone. Their competitive edge lies in the extensive experience of their team, which totals over 100 years in various theatrical disciplines, including design, fabrication, and sound engineering. Through their initiative, they aspire to give back to the community while fostering creativity and growth in the industry.

Business Plan
Within the next 5 years we are hoping to expand this into different markets. The possibility of being able to teach/educate makers in other parts of the state or even other states in general. While we look to provide help with multiple theatrical productions we also hope to start one of our own some day to help people get their own start in the industry we love. We have also thought about the idea of partnering with local school to help teach the tech skills required for theatrical production. Simply put, there is nothing else like us in the area, or even the nation as far as we are concerned. Often times the death of creative potential is the lack of space and resources. We aim to solve this problem for many people and hope to grow, what we believe, is an essential part of life. Wether is be haunted house, tv/movies, or classic theater, each and everyone of us finds joy in being able to partake in some form of entertainment. We want to help teach thee skills that keep this part of the industry alive and thriving for many years. We believe in investing back into the industry and the communities we work in. In addition we are actively design products to be used in theatrical productions that we believe are unlike anything else on the market.

Self Identified Competition
I do not believe we have any direct competitors in this industry. Outside of going to a specific school. However sometimes the pathway to a traditional school is not always accessible for everyone. What makes us different is the skill set of the people we have working for us. Combine we have over 100 years of theatrical experience. Everything from design to fabrication and even sound engineering. We believe we can not only teach but create things that those in the same field are not able to. We also have a want to give back. We are setting this up as a way to give back to our community and like minded creatives.
