Business Plan
We will be expanding our mobile education of aquaponics by adding more busses to reach more people in more cities. We will be increasing our classroom sizes with the proper promotional materials as well as expanding to online training courses. We will have the home product launched and sell it online to people around the world. We will be helping to build small scale aquaponic farms for schools, senior communities and communities around the bi-state area and beyond. In a society that is plagued by food shortages, food deserts, food recalls and more, self-sustainability has never been more important than now. Our company is coming at a time where aquaponics has resurged after a 10,000 year hiatus. We come with a combined 40 years of experience in business management, marketing, sales, non-profits, project management and most importantly a connection to the aquaponics culture. We are members of the Aquaponics Association Board and committees. We are making a difference in the way we reach individuals to expand their knowledge and interest in a farming practice that will change the way the world is producing nutritious food for its' citizens. The aquaponics industry is slated to have a 13% increase by 2027 to over $55 billion in revenue. The industry has had a 6% annual increase in the last five years to over $21 billion in organic produce sales.

Self Identified Competition
Currently the only competitors we would have would be large commercial farms, homebuilt DIY's, and companies that are investing in hydroponics (ex. Juice Plus). Even though hydroponics is trending, it is not a self-sustaining technology nor organic. With the use of chemicals and minerals to grow produce in these systems, it is still not good for the environment. It also adds its' waste into the water systems and takes from the land to create the nutrients needed to sustain the systems. Aquaponics is a self-sustaining system that utilizes fish to provide the nutrients needed for plant production. Feed the fish, the fish waste feeds the plants, the plants filter the water to the fish. This creates a recirculating mini-ecosystem that can utilize the same water for 5-7 years. When the water is changed, it is nutrient rich and will refortify the land to which it is disposed in. Large commercial farms do create a large amount of produce but due to their bio-secure environments, they only sell to distributors in grocery chains that still do not reach the food deserts in inner-city communities. Our systems will be in the heart of the areas most affected by these food shortages to provide produce where it is lacking. DIY'ers are typically farmers, preppers or teachers who want to provide for themselves, family or research. Going with a company like ours will bring this technology into the hands of those who typically do not have the means to do this themselves.
