Lisa E Gore Services, LLC, ABA Defy Time Aesthetic 88-1608068 | Government Grant Application

Lisa E Gore Services, LLC, ABA Defy Time Aesthetic | Application Preview

Lisa E Gore Services, LLC, operating under the brand ABA Defy Time Aesthetic, is seeking government grants to support the launch and first-year operations of a new brick-and-mortar day spa in Columbia, MO. The funding will cover essential startup costs including decor, supplies, rent, advertising, payroll, an inaugural celebration event, and the introduction of new services like laser treatments and hormonal therapy. The goal is to eventually establish a Medi-Spa model and incorporate USA Cryotherapy rooms as the business expands into larger facilities.

The business plan includes hiring 5-10 employees and transitioning from a small rental space to a 2,000 square foot fully functioning day spa. This plan involves adding a front desk, increasing services offered, and bringing on more estheticians and nursing staff, along with an on-site physician. An important aspect of the future vision is the introduction of the first full-body USA Cryotherapy room in Missouri, necessitating a significant investment should the company choose to franchise.

Lisa emphasizes her determination, experience, and professional background as a certified registered nurse anesthesiologist, framing herself as a capable and focused business owner committed to developing a premier day spa. With familial support from her daughter and professional guidance from mentors, she believes her business is poised for success.

In the competitive landscape, Lisa identifies local competitors with significant overhead costs, noting that her business will differentiate itself through its unique service offerings, including future plans for cryotherapy and expertise in medically supervised aesthetic treatments.

Lisa's competitive advantage lies in her extensive network and experience gained from participation in business syndicates focused on growth and employee development. She highlights her planned location’s high traffic exposure and strategic positioning, which will contribute to the spa’s visibility and accessibility. Overall, Lisa presents a comprehensive and ambitious plan to establish a successful day spa with a community-centered approach and a vision for future growth.

  • Business Plan

My plan is to add 5-10 employees and move from the two rooms I am going to rent to an actual fully functioning day spa with 2000 square foot, adding services, front desk assistance, and more estheticians, Nurses and an on site Physician. I have one who is covering me for now. I am planning on adding an USA Cryotherapy room which provides actual full body cryotherapy, including the head which would be the first in Missouri. This is the first company for Cryo in the USA and all the studies are based on their work. I have spoken to them at great length. I will need to make a $500,000 investment at that time if I franchise, a bit less if I purchase a room itself. I am driven, focused and determined to build the premiere day spa in Columbia, MO with future locations in Missouri. I am learning as a small business, but I am a doctorate prepared certified registered nurse anesthesiologist, professional with a proven safety, reliability and expertise record in one profession, this is my second career path. My daughter is on board with systems and has her degree from Google College in Computer coding and is helping me with logistics, my accountant is Accounting Plus. I have e mentor and plan on working with her successful practice for my future.

  • Self Identified Competition

Casey Dermatology Clinic: but she has huge overhead at this time and I feel my market is different. I also plan on adding cryotherapy in the future. Magnolia Med Spa, established as well with huge overhead, they do offer laser skin care which I want to add as well in the future. Riversong Spa: not a medical day spa, but offering the basics and very well known and established reputation. But differs in many services and will not offer toxins and fillers or microneedling with RF which requires an RN, or esthetician license. I have been a member of Ed Mylett and Andy Frisella's business syndicate Arete for 5 years and I have the foundation from working with them for branding, growing and scaling, and for how to work with staff, employees in order to meet their future dreams as well as mine. They really teach that your dream isn't big enough if it doesnt encompass your employees dreams as well. I know many, many people and am from Northeast Missouri, went to MU and SMSU, I have people asking when I will be open every day. Great location on E Green Meadows planned above Honey Baked Ham and Clean Cuts. Traffic there is estimated as 60-70,000 cars per day traveling that round about, great exposure, drive up parking. Landlord is Steve Wendling and his son Scott Wendling. Forged Developments.
